The hotel interior decoration is straight out of the 1950's minus any charm that the 50's might have had. The dinner buffet is so-so but boring. Our bed was rock-hard. The one positive is the staff, all extremely nice and helpful.

This grandma of grandiose hotels has inspiring memories of Venice through the ages. With the sea through our magical open window and mini veranda we watch others experience what we earlier felt arriving by boat. Fab experience throughout our mini stopover.

Stayed here with my famlily for one night. We had a room with a seaview and it was really nice. The room as well as the bathroom was really spacious. The staff was friendly and helpful and the complimentary boatshuttle to San Marco was great! Since Im a hopeless romantic and a sucker for old historical landmarks this hotel is...

The Excelsior at the Lido! A mention in "Death in Venice", all the film stars and celebrities - and even a spot on Richard E Grant's TV show! Did it live up to our high expectations? Almost - or almost all of it did. All in all, we had a great time. The setting is wonderful, and the building is...

We visited Venice for a long weekend break and so glad our daughter in law booked this hotel located on the Venice Lido, about 12 minutes courtesy boat ride away from the very crowded Venice. The hotel has all the amenities of a 5 star hotel and all of the staff are friendly and very helpful. The prices for drinks...

Whether you like this hotel or not will depend entirely on your taste. It feels like what we imagine opulence looked like in the 60's. It retains a charm based on individually decorated rooms, large open spaces (both in-room & in public areas) and the wonderful free water-shuttle to St Marks square each day. But contemporary minimalism for millennials it...

This hotel is on another island and it offers complimentary ferry service to Venice throughout the day and indeed the evening. It is a quiet oasis away from the hustle and bustle of Venice. Rooms are good. Restaurant offers buffet breakfast and dinner which are just about OK but not great. The pool area is good and well cared for....

Stopped for a couple of nights. Service is friendly and unobtrusive and the hotel is beautiful. Lovely setting on the beach across the lagoon from Venice.
