We've stayed for 2 nights at Venice and then moved to this beautiful resort to get away from the crowd and were so happy we did. In the morning we could relax by the pool or the beach, and go to Venice later in the afternoon. Hotel has convenient shuttle service from / to Venice St Marco every half an...

Dear tatianaca09, thank you for sharing your experience after your stay at our Hotel Excelsior Venezia. We really appreciate your positive words regarding our strategic location at the beachside but only a short boat ride from Venice, our beautiful swimming pool overlooking the sea as well as our perfectly trained and helpful staff. However, we regret that the lunch experience...

Staying on Lido for first time we chose this 5 star establishment. Having stayed in a variety of 5 star hotels in different countries, I felt that this particular hotel was let down by the fact that dinner was buffet style, the food lukewarm at best, and choice of "hot food" uninspiring and limited. On the plus side, the pool...

We are actually still at the hotel so i'll share what I have experienced so far in tow nights. Wonderful customer service immediately exiting the water taxi. So friendly. Check in was a breeze and they were very accommodating. After our first night the air conditions from our room or the room above was dripping and somewhat flooding out entry....

Firstly this is a really nice hotel in a lovely location, the public spaces are palatial and it has a lot of significant history with movie stars and celebs of yesteryear. The half hourly boat service to Venice runs like clockwork and makes the trip so much more worthwhile. Certain aspects of the hotel however need significant improvement: the decor...

We booked the Excelsior as part of a 2 centre trip for our anniversary - we travelled by train from Venice to Vienna. I was worried that the Excelsior might be a 'faded' grand hotel but could not have been more wrong. I booked a private water taxi from the airport which is the only way to arrive - straight...

We have stayed in Venice many times but not on the island of Lido. Very relaxing to come back to the Excelsior on their private launch after the hustle & bustle of St Marks Square & surrounding areas. We thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful grounds, pool, blue bar and outdoor terraces. The dining room is exquisite and a good choice at the...

We booked Dinner, Bed and Breakfast, due to a severe flight delay we missed our first evening meal. We emailed the Hotel to inform them and even though it was not their fault they refused to refund the cost of the meal after much bartering they extended our check out on our last day. Not great customer service. Drinks were...

Spent 4 nights here after the film festival. Had a great time and enjoyed the hotel. Super comfy bed, and we got a free upgrade! All the staff were very polite and helpful. The glamour and history of the building really added to the atmosphere. The only thing that let our stay down was the food. By no means terrible,...
