Our three night stay at the Buon Pesce in May, 2005 was a very god experience. The view of the water from our upstairs room was fantastic. There were large ships going by on several occassions as well as other water traffic. The gardens surrounding...More

We travelwd by train from Florence. From the train station in Venice we took a water taxi to Lido. It was not expensive and the boatride was lovely. Once in Lido, we went across the street from the pier and took the local bus to the hotel. There are cabs available once off the water taxi but the best feature of riding the bus was that we were able to see other neighborhoods in Lido on our way to the hotel. I realize that this sounds complicated but it was remarkably easy for even the member of our group with mobility challenges. Good luck.
