The Riverside RV Park is in the city limit, at the south end of town and on the banks of the Little Salmon River. Most sites have river frontage and there are several pull-thru sites but please make reservations early to see if they are available . There is easy in, easy out access and big rigs are welcomed. Now offering free WIFI.
This was the best RV park we have stayed in on our camping trip from Montana to San Diego. The owner is constantly maintaining it and he is so friendly. He actually gave us some fresh tomatoes from his garden. There are also peach trees along the river as well as grapes growing and apple trees etc. The town has a population of 480 people. In the summers it is a river rafting town. We ate breakfast and lunch at Bert and Kate’s. Delicious food and many lunch options at Kate’s. Met some really nice locals. Also had wonderful pizza at another restaurant. We also swam at a beach area around the bend of the river. And our dog enjoyed it too. We purchased some Bison and Elk meat at a meat store near the beach area. Take a drive around the river it’s absolutely gorgeous!

Room Tip:Site 1 in my opinion is the most beautiful spot. Although sites all are shaded and wonderful.

All of the reviews are great, but my experience was so wonderful that I must layer it on. We had two sites, 15 & 17, pull through sites able to accommodate large rigs. We were on the water front. We had a grassy front, well-maintained. There is a sturdy PVC railing between you and the Little Salmon. In June, the flow was ridiculous. The white noise from the water was hypnotic. You could not hear the road at all. The gravel road was even and level. Plenty of shade trees. I didn't see any photos of people with a campfire, so I asked about it. You can bring a portable fire pit, but you must keep it on the gravel. We put a layer of foil under it to trap any ashes, making clean-up a breeze (leave no trace). Our fire pit was between our two sites and was perfect. If you have a plastic mat, leave it at home. You won't need it and it will not be welcomed on the grass. They provide a picnic table and full hook-ups with sewer. There are no restrooms, so tenting is not advisable. The town is walk-able within 1/4 mile. There are a couple of restaurants, grocery stores, and bars with a pool table. The proprietors are super-friendly. Across the bridge is a meat store with the best jerky ever (beef and elk). I bought some steaks as well, but didn't cook them yet. Bring bikes if you have them, e bikes too. Enter from the south entrance for most rigs with a door on the passenger side. If you need to turn around, there is a church parking lot in town, on the right side big enough to make the turn. The salmon were just starting to run and fishermen were everywhere. This park has a very loyal following, and the owner is loyal right back. Email them to find availability and you will keep coming back. Many guests have returned the same weekend for 15 years. Yes, it's that nice.…

Stayed for 3 nights. The rushing water completely drowns out any sounds from your neighbors, or the proximity to the road. We stayed between the store and the river and it was perfect. Book exchange! Clean bathrooms and showers! Very friendly camp hosts.

Response from Bob Crump, Owner at Riverside RV Park

This particular review is not for the Riverside RV Park in Riggins, Idaho since we do not have bathrooms. Believe it is for Canyon Pines RV Park which is located nine miles south of Riggins.

Found this RV park by accident. We lucked out and got a site on the river for a Friday night. It was a beautiful place to stay and Bob and Doug were such friendly hosts. We would stay again if passing through. Very nice and friendly town.

This is a beautiful little campground. If you have kids and need a pool/playground/mini golf etc. this isn’t for you. If all you want are basic services and a beautiful setting right on the side of a river with trees, flowers, and few neighbors, sign yourself up! They do require cash for the self pay but there is an ATM right in town, so no problem.

I really would give this campground 10 stars if I could. We stayed in campsite 1 and pretty much had the entire place to ourselves, unless you count the family of deer that we would wake up to. They have fruit trees, apple -nectarines and peaches. Just pick what you need. The owner was gracious enough to even provide home grown tomatoes! Right around the corner is a great white sandy beach, that family, friends and animals all can go to. Everything in town was within walking distance-would have liked to stay a month!

Quick overnight stay to do a rafting trip while passing through Idaho. This place is a well-kept gem along the Salmon River (difficult river access from park). The owner was on site and was very helpful and friendly. Nice grass, lots of shade trees, wifi, etc. Great place to stay. Highly recommend.

This RV park is small. but the sites are large (although few for Class A's), but what a beautiful place. The sites are right on the river, the grass is green and lush, there are walnut and fruit trees, grape vines and the nicest owners we have met and we're full timers. The owner gave us tomatoes from his garden and shared a jug of his home made wine. Every morning and evening the deer would descend on the fruit trees which were right outside of our door. Wonderful place to spend a day or a week.

The rv park is small but the sites are large. All sites are full hookup so there is no restrooms or showers on site. There is a laundromat right across the street. It's a beautiful place. Right on the river. It is extremely well taken care of and you can't beat the price - $25.00 a night for full hookup. It's easy to get in and out of with a big rig. It's dog friendly. There is plenty of grass and easy access to the river. Best of all the long term residents and owners are very friendly. I can't say a bad thing about the place and I have been to a lot of rv parks.
