It is very strange to stay in someone's home. I understand bed & breakfast , I understand ' homely',but I don't understand staying in someone's home and paying for it. Beds are not made , fresh linen or towels are not provided nor are rooms cleaned during a stay. This comes as a bit of a shock since the room...

First I want to for the third time express our sincere apologies for the dissatisfaction with regard to your lodging experience at Talus Rock. As I had mentioned to your husband following your email, we wish thank you for your critique as we had immediately taken it to heart and adjusted the "wrongs". We appreciate your candid feedback, and I...

Talus Rock exceeded all of our expectations. We had an amazing family holiday filled with the special connections you can only get when experiencing a place like Talus Rock. Heather (the owner) provided us with everything our hearts desired. Our children left saying it was their favourite holiday ever; which they rated ahead of Disneyland... They loved the freedom of...

The house was beautiful! I surprised my wife on her birthday, and the owner went out of her way to make it a special occasion. Our room was amazing, and had been prepared with roses and snacks to make it memorable. Our host was friendly and generous with knowledge about local eateries and attractions. She was kind enough to visit...

My BF and have gone to Idaho for vacation for the past couple of summers. We were looking for a different place to stay and stumbled across this little gem while doing some searching. All I can say is "Wow!". The owner, Heather was an amazing and gracious host. And the property was truly magnificent and peaceful. The lodge itself...

Awesome retreat location, wonderful room and the scenery is amazing. Great hosts and company as well! Stayed in the Arbor Room on July 4th, it was a very enjoyable time and the room was well prepared for us.

Wow! We found this B&B as it was the top rated on TripAdvisor and it did not disappoint. Talus Rock Retreat is just amazing, from the time we arrived we were greeted by the incredibly warm innkeeper Heather Pederson at this beautiful B&B right in the heart of Sandpoint. Our well-appointed and large guest room (Arbor room) had everything we...

We were enthusiastically met by the owner, felt we were honored guests, shown to our fabulous room. ( I looked at all of them and each has it's own charm and special feeling.) Since we were on our honeymoon, we had the Arbor room, private patio, double jetted tub, wonderful treats in fridge, privacy when we wanted, but fun friendly...

Such a memorable and blessed stay at Talus Rock. Heather hosted an annual board retreat for us. It was cozy, yet plenty of space for a big group to feel comfortable. So thankful for the hospitality of the owners. Talus Rock is a must visit!

My husband and I stayed at Talus Rock for two nights while our kids attended horsemanship camp at the local Western Pleasure guest ranch. It was a true treat to stay here! As all previous reviews have stated, Heather is an excellent hostess. It does seem a little strange to be staying in someone else's house, but Heather makes it...

We booked our getaway to Talus Rock a couple of months ago on a whim with a special thru Groupon. We weren't sure what to expect before arriving, but our entire weekend far exceeded any expectations we might have had. Talus Rock is a very unique place in every way possible. The architecture is big and bold, but full of...
