We pulled into the cabins late afternoon. It was a beautiful but HOT ride. All the stores close to the cabins were closed, it was a Sunday. Had we known we would have stopped in the Stanley Sq. on the way. (we unloaded and went back for beer and wine) Our room was a cozy cabin with a deck on... More

Yes it is on the river but the cabin is mostly rough. It is a housekeeping cabin, you are the housekeeper! It lacks so many comforts where do I start. I had to wash coffee pot and cups in bathroom sink. For $80 a nite off season i would spend more for some comforts. They need to spend some money... More

We, like other reviewers, chose this place because of the location, right on the Salmon River. Think if you google it, it's called the Lower Stanley cabins. Very comfortable and rustic with a deck and the rushing river below and drop-dead views of the mountains. Place seems a little run down for the price but, the location trumps all. I... More

OK, the curb appeal leaves much to be desired, but the view out back is breath taking. We stayed upstairs with the Salmon River just a few feet away and an awesome view of the magnificent ranch across the river. All the appliances were new and top notch. But the view from the balcony was worth every penny! The country... More

We've stayed at this place for many years. The great pro is the view across the Salmon River to Stanley and the Sawtooths. The cons are paper thin walls and, now, the place is starting to run down. During our recent stay, a kitchen cabinet door immediately fell off, merely upon being touched. The inside of the refrigerator had a... More

I am a pretty tough reviewer, so an average form me means just that, average, nothing great, nothing terrible I think considering the location, and the season, we got fair value. The cabin was clean and comfortable. Rustic is a good description... The bathroom is rather small and plain, but functional. In cold weather the cabin might be drafty, but... More

I chose the Salmon River cabins because they offered individual cabins on the river. We stayed in cabin 12 and it was perfect. cabin 12 is on the end and it is maybe 20 feet from the rivers edge. The cabin includes two queen size beds, a full bathroom, A full kitchen, and a nice living room with a futon... More

This place is also known as "Jerry's" so look for it in Lower Stanley. I had an upstairs room right on the river and could listen to its flow all night. The room was very clean and light, plain but pretty. But the price was only $75, a great value for a right-on-the-river location with a kitchenette. I would definitely... More

The cabins are rustic as advertised. Ours had two queen beds and a fouton. The bathroom was very small. Plastic shower. Hot plate for stove. Nice big fridge. Wood kitchen table, small sink with hot and cold reversed. Another cabin was Similar but smaller with working stove. They provide charcoal grills. No need to try the heater. Location is nice.... The location is superb, against the river bank, 5 yards, with a stunning vista of the Sawtooth Mountains. But the cabin itself was very small for the price. there was very little storage space for clothes, and the kitchen area was very cramped. The bathroom was unbelievably small. The cabin needed lot of renovation and work, but the location made... More
