As a family we needed somewhere to stop over for my sister's wedding at Brancepeth Castle, so we stopped Easter Sunday and Monday nights. Our three kids loved being able to walk around the farm - the 1200 pigs, the 700 lambs and hope of seeing the black pheasant (which we never did see). We saw it in freezing cold...

Big bedroom, big bathroom, big breakfast & a big personality host , Sandra , Nafferton Farm ticks all the boxes, the views from the bedrooms are stunning especially on a good day. Nothing is too much trouble beit information regarding local places of interest or maybe the best road to take. Thank you Sandra .

As soon as you walk into this farm house you feel like being at home. You are made very welcome and you never feel like a stranger in a person's home. The rooms are a good size, and the shower is a real power shower. The breakfast is one of the best I have enjoyed in the U/K. Good quality...

I and my sister and her husband have just returned from a 2 night stay at the Farmhouse. We needed a base for a nearby family party. From the warm welcome from Sandra to the time we left it felt like you were in your own home. The bedrooms are spotless and large. The double room has an enormous bathroom...

We stayed here for our son's graduation. The farm and it's surroundings were fantastic and very handy for the city centre. Sandra had thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. Room was great with lots of little extras. Breakfast superb. I cannot recommend this highly enough. What a find!

This farmhouse B and B is located near to Durham City but in a very rural setting. Our room, which looked over beautiful countryside, was spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated and comfortable. We were made very welcome by Sandra and nothing was too much trouble for her. Breakfast was delicious! We will definitely stay there again if we are in the...

Used as a base for visiting the Beamish Museum - it is some way away but worth the trip. Hostess Sandra was very welcoming and helpful, and the room was large, warm, comfortable and very well appointed. Lots of very nice touches - from the face-cloths and dressing-gown included with the towels to the mini-bottles of wine. All finished off...
