The new season start and manager decided to start it with beach BBQ party. Actually, it was the best food I've tried in Sri Lanka :)amazing fish and chicken in foile with vegetables and without curry ;) this evening the owner cooks himself. Good food, stars, classic music with accompanement of the ocean. It was the great day!

I booked 2 rooms at the coral beauty for 5 nights over NYE 2015. When we arrived, we were informed that the hotel was over booked and we would be spending one night at a nearby hotel for no extra cost, and they would cover the cost of a taxi to and from this other hotel. The hotel we had...

The pictures provided by the hotel are not from the actual hotel. Look at the pictures from users. This was not what we expected. No toilet paper, no towels, no WiFi. and the place is run by a drunk that only wants to take your money. We checked in to another hotel as fast as we could, but they still...

I rarely resort to writing a review, it takes a really bad or a really good experience to motivate me to invest the time. I'll let you decide what this was. I did not mind the apparently constant "under construction" wibe nor the eccentric decoration, not even the garbage on the beach left and right off the hotel, the drab...

This hotel is a 400R/£2/$3 10 minute rickshaw ride out of Hikkaduwa. Aside from a local bar (which doesn't like tourists sitting in the main bar - you have to go out back), there is nothing around here by way of bars, restaurants etc. The plus side is that it's very quiet at night. The rooms are all OK, pretty...

This is a nice enough place - reading the previous reviews the place has been undergoing refurbishment for a VERY long time and still looks like a building site in parts. The rooms are large and have great views to the ocean. The place has a funny and slightlg weird preoccupation with fake wood and concrete. The walls of the...

Mr. Jayampathi was quite a character with many interesting and entertaining stories to share. We thoroughly enjoyed his stories and his easy going manner. The sunset scene was picturesque and not forgetting the full moon view at night. It is very easy to get to Hikkaduwa, Galle and Unawatuna.

After spending a few days in this hotel in April 2012 i can tell you that the hotel is just amazing, considering that the Indian Vacation company(Plunge) that bought us here only charges $220 for the entire trip including flight charges and so on.....were not expecting much but the hotel is just too good, the natural swimming pool in front...

Before 1983 this place was frequented by many backpackers. The tsunami left this place devestated, but now recent rebuilding provides a relaxing retreat. I would qualify the beach and sunset 4/5 stars. The hotel itself is in the proces of being finalized. There was during my visit no disturbing noise or other activities. The hotel is situated to the right...
