All I wanted from my hotel visit was a quiet room. I stayed on the 14th floor and could hear so much noise from outside, including a band playing on the corner. Location is excellent--they should do better about the noise.

Dear ShatzOnTheMove, Thank you for taking the time to complete an online review of the Hotel Burnham. We certainly appreciate you staying at this Daniel Burnham Designed original office building. This historical landmark is in a great location but offers an urban experience in the downtown area. On your next visit we will definitely give you a much quieter room....

I stay at Kimpton Hotels every chance I get. Hotel Burnham was especially exquisite due to its history (it was one of the most prominent skyscrapers at the time it was built) and has the original iron work in front of the elevators. The rooms still use metal keys but are well-appointed with a well-stocked mini-fridge. I recommend joining Kimpton...

Lovely hotel, centrally located and wonderful for the Macy's/DSW fan. Room was a good size and bathroom nicely maintained. Toilet roll, toiletries and towels were good quality (important touches). Unfortunately missed the wine hour which we would have liked to attend as the bar was buzzing. Would definitely return to the hotel. Easy to get to the airport as it...

Went to the Atwood cafe, which is part of the Kimpton Burnham Hotel. So the food was good, but the service was Terrible and the Hotel Staff was just absolutely Rude. The server came to us 20 min after our order was placed and asked us what we wanted to eat. We promptly told her we already ordered with het...

We stayed at the Kimpton for a weekend getaway.Great location, responsive staff and the restaurant was a cut above other small hotel restaurants. It is across the street from Macy's and next door to Nordstrom Rack, so my wife loved that. Also close to Millennium Park.

The Kimpton wasn't my first choice because it was roughly a mile from he hotel the conference was in, but a friend had stayed at a Kimpton brand hotel before and said they were nice. Well appointed rooms, incredible architecture, cozy bar with good beer list and fine dining. Great location for central loop attractions. The evening wine social is great fun, and helps start the evening after a day of meetings.

Yet another amazing Kimpton hotel, Burnham exceeded our expectations and could quite possibly be one of my favorite hotels! An obviously historic, small, well appointed, well managed hotel faces Macy's on State Street, two blocks north of the Art Institute. We have stayed there three times, and look forward to more.
