I was in Chicago non business and stayed for the first time and this lovely hotel. The lobby and bar area are magnificent. I stayed on the executive floor and that offered an executive lounge with a complimentary breakfast, and snacks and drinks through the day and evening. Very well stocked, with pleasant service. The rooms were large enough and... More

Beautiful historic hotel. Very comfortable and clean room. Even with the Thanksgiving crowds and the Parade the staff was very helpful. Rooms were made up in a timely manner even on Thanksgiving day. Would highly recommend for Thanksgiving.

The common areas remind me of some of the museums we have seen in various parts of Europe. Gorgeous. Our suite was roomy and pretty. The breakfast in the Executive Lounge was good. I just wish that they had more tables. It was quite crowded, and hard to find a place to eat. Also, THERE WASN'T A COFFEE MAKER IN... More

It's about a 45 min ride from the airport but a nice ride you get to see a lot but this hotel is downtown and is walking distance to everything and they have everything you would need in the hotel or in walking distance I had time to walk around on my first day there and I always ask at... More

The best thing about the hotel at that particular date was location, location, location! The parade was on South State in front of the hotel. The problem was that lots of people choose that hotel at that particular date. The night we arrived just before the parade the hotel was fully booked and the service was "nervous". We booked 2... This was my first visit to The Palmer House, not Chicago. In the past i have stayed on Michigan Ave or closer to the Pier. This was my first time in this area. This hotel is WONDERFUL. Beautifully decorated for Christmas! The location is fabulous and the room was the most spacious Chicago room I have stayed in! We had... More

This hotel is expensive (paid $499 a night in early November); however, as a diamond Hilton member, the front desk associate upgraded me to a 1 bedroom suite. It was a huge room with a separate living room, conference table and small bar. The gym was an adequate size. The executive club was one of the biggest I've seen with... More

My wife was in town for her job, she stayed here 1 night. GPS took her to the hotel, when she went to valet her rental, they gave her the choice of valet ($75) or self park($44) deck next to the hotel. He was super nice. The hotel had some great history every thing but the bathroom was great. Bathroom... More

Stayed here while on business in Chicago. The property is stunning! The history alone, along with the immaculate lobby are worth just going inside. The service was outstanding and I was even given a free upgrade to a suite. Can't rave enough about this hotel...I'll certainly be back next time I'm in Chicago!
