This property is frozen in time. The ceiling in the vast high ceiling bar takes you back to the early 1900s when Chicago was booming with vitality. Executive Lounge staff Mr Ernest welcomes you with a tour and appointed explanation of his 23rd floor kingdom as if you're a family member. He remembers your name and is so inviting. Everyone...

My husband and I were so impressed with this historic hotel. It happens to be the oldest continuously operational hotel in America, yet it is filled with wonderful amenities that make it extra special! At the front door you are greeted by valets who give you the option of parking your car or having you self park. You walk up...

We were at the palmer house for business. The rooms need to be updated. The room we were in two people couldnt pass between the foot of the bed and the wall. Lobby beautifully decorated but for the price of the room they need to do some much needed updating. We were in a double bed!

Staying here for business. Needed to login & do some work on my computer. Went through hoops to get Internet to work - signing up as a Hilton honors member. When it finally did the signal was so slow I couldn't work on anything!!!! Couldn't get any device to hook up & wasted about an hour doing so. Next time...

We stayed in the executive level this time. I enjoyed the separate elevator - with a seat inside it. Very old school. Very cool. Hotel is really nice with old pictures of old chicago all over the place and nostalgiac pieces if you look for them. The lobby is grand. Check in is quick and easy. Check out is you...

Location, atmosphere, food all brilliant. Room could have done with a refresh though as it felt a bit dull. I have a HH profile with room preferences so I can't understand why they were ignored and I ended up next to the lift. Odd with a hotel of this quality that it is so easy to hear those in the...

Great Bar staff!!! The lobby of the hotel where the bar is located has a very nice atmosphere. The rooms are becoming dated, they are clean as is the entire hotel. The location is good, Chicago loop with walking distance to the Millennium park and the Magnificent mile shops.

One of the oldest hotels in the city, with lots of character, history and charm. The grand entrance and ballroom are majestic, the high decorated ceilings and walls are breathtaking and the rooms are luxurious and comfortable. It was one of the best hotel experiences I have had - from the time I checked in to the time I checked...

Everything you need is located within the hotel. Bathroom was tiny but room overall was spacious and very nice. Service is pretty good too. Unfortunately one guy at the bar acted snobbish toward me, which I'm still trying to figure out. I had asked for a 'house' cabernet and he laughed and said they only have 'good wine'. Um, OK?...
