Have always had a great experience here. And this was no exception. The pampering, care, comfort, is just amazing. The staff refused tips. Were so gracious. We were that over Christmas and they were understaffed. The only reason we knew that was because we saw the same staff there almost around the clock. I Plan to go again soon!

I have always had a great experience at this hotel! The rooms are lovely and I definitely recommend the room with the gas fireplace, it is so luxurious and super nice to have on a cold day. The rooms are the cleanest EVER. The service is amazing, everyone takes such great care of you. The food is awesome at the...

All and all it was close to a five star stay. But one thing perplexed me. The carpet hallway was strewn with debris. As if it hadn't been vacuumed. I thought since we arrived a tad earlier it hadn't been done. Ok. But in the morning of our departure it still looked the same. Not acceptable. Also no coffee maker?...

Stayed there for two nights in December. Staff was friendly and helpful. Stay was pleasant. The location was an easy walk to most places we wanted to be, and right downtown. Will stay there again when in Chicago.

My girlfriend surprised me with a weekend staycation by telling me we were just going to the city for dinner. Imagine my surprise when we pulled in the front of the hotel and my wife took an overnight bag from the trunk. The front lobby was very nice, but it was the smiling faces that greeted me that really left...

We had a two night stay at the Waldorf-Astoria. We were upgraded to a suite when we arrived - and the suite was nearly as large as the first apartment I lived in. It was a luxurious and well-maintained property, very close to the sights and attractions of the Magnificent Mile and the Near North, with excellent dining nearby. The...

Beautiful hotel, perfect location, amazing service. Rooms were large and extremely comfortable. The spa is a nice little bonus that I didnt know about prior to my stay but used it everyday. Couldn't have been a better hotel for my trip.

For a 5 star hotel - very disappointed. No coffee maker in room. Water temperature was irregular. Poor quality blow dryer. Ordered newspaper for morning - didn't get it. Needed to call front desk in morning as reminder. I'd give it 3.5 stars.

I learned of a promotion that Visa Signature Concierge services was holding in which I could stay at any of their Signature hotels for one night and get another for free. This was difficult to pass up. As my wife and I were to be celebrating our tenth anniversary together everything was falling into place. Then I was torn as...

Really great rooms, great location in downtown. No perks for frequent travelers and as of Jan 2016 no proper restaurant and lobby under renovation. Hotel has ZERO value perks for Gold and Diamond members and you are nickel-ed and dime-ed for everything. Go for the great rooms, nothing else and you won't be disappointed!

Neighbourhood Profile
Gold Coast
Located just north of The Loop, Gold Coast is one of Chicago’s most affluent and popular neighborhoods. The original Playboy, Hugh Hefner, once had a mansion here. In addition to prestigious hotels, historic mansions and luxury high-rise apartments, you’ll also find upscale specialty boutiques and Michelin-starred restaurants. Walk along Oak Street for your shopping fix and dance through the night along Rush Street. The Newberry Library is also a great stop to check out noteworthy exhibits and rare book collections.
