Just a terrific hotel and great location for walking around the area, walked to the Navy Pier, bought snacks and wine at a nearby Whole Foods...hotel has large lobby, great staff. One particular great member of staff was Jose, a bellman/ tax-getter, helper, a gallant, wonderful person.

Thank you for the positive review and public recognition of Jose, one of our legacy team members who helped open the JW Chicago in 2010. While some skeptics questioned the logic behind placing a luxury tier hotel in Chicago’s Financial District, they now realize that our unique location is not only perfect for the business traveler but the leisure traveler... We arrived at the Marriott at round 10am after a 20 hour train ride from New Orleans. Needless to say I wanted an early check in since It was my bday and I wanted to shower....in an actual shower😀. The receptionist didn't even flinch and checked us in. We showered and went out for the day to come back to... More

Happy Birthday! And thank you for choosing the JW Marriott and Chicago to commemorate this special day. Thank you too for publicly recognizing Erin, definitely one of our best representatives and someone who epitomizes all that is good about Chicago and the hospitality industry. I stayed for 4 nights on business. A nice 15 min walk to Michigan Ave for my office, the Art Institute and Big Bus Tour, 10 mins to the shops on State St and cafes, coffee shops and affordable local restaurants, bars and pubs all within a block. Thank you, although this may be a highly biased statement, one of the best ways to experience Chicago is on foot. Aside from the fact the city is extremely easy to navigate, there are architectural gems hidden on every block with shops and eateries unique to Chicago throughout. We pride ourselves in our location in the heart of the Financial... More

Stayed here for a wedding weekend. Fantastic view of Chicago Loop. Conveniently close to shops all around such as Eataly, Nordstrom Rack, TJ Maxx, etc. Good walk to Navy Pier. Only 2 blocks to the El. Room was clean and spacious. Young man at concierge counter "Bobby" took time to help my nephew with his tie. Very, very classy and... More

Thank you, while we wish we could keep the credit (and the high marks), unfortunately it appears you're thinking of our sister property on Michigan Avenue. On your next visit, please consider exploring a different corner of our great city away from the gentrified Mag Mile. We’re the closet luxury hotel to the Theater District, museums, restaurant row, and in... More

Beautiful place - right by the Willis tower. We got a suite - 2 bathrooms, and a TV inside the main bathroom's mirror - Gilberto from the concierge level lounge is the best!!!! Can't wait to come back.

Perfect, thank you! The introduction of our luxury suites into the market may shame the competition, but it is our associates who separate us from the pack. Thank you for the public recognition of Gilberto (and note this review will be shared with his peers internally too), and thank you again for the positive review. We too hope to see... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here as a last minute getaway. The hotel is elegant and beautiful through and through. I would be surprised to find an area that is not immaculate and well designed. Ouch, one of Marriott’s greatest strengths is treating all of our visitors with respect and in a courteous manner. The fact that you felt slighted, be it real or perceived, is unacceptable and you have our apologies. We appreciate your overall positive review and request that in the future if any aspect of your stay is not to your satisfaction,... More

My wife and I attend the 50th Anniversary "Fare Thee Well" Grateful Dead Concerts from July 3-5th which was a very busy weekend for the Chicago region during this time. Hotel management is always delighted to read a review from a “local” traveler. While staycations are gaining popularity, Chicago is one of few major cities where... More

We had a concert to go to in Chicago. Ended up in a suite here and loved it. Was like a little apartment. Had everything you need. Was near shopping and downtown. Very simple but nice. There was no view, but the lake was nearby. Walked to shopping and the park.
