I am very confused by all of the great reviews of this hotel. I have stayed in a lot of hotels over the years and this one is definitely one of the worst. Started out with a broken elevator which caused a ridiculous amount of waiting every time that you wanted to go anywhere (elevators were VERY slow even when...

Finding a decent hotel room in downtown Chicago for around $100 a night is a challenge. Usually I'll stay in a hostel, but I found a great deal online for this place and decided to give it a try (and the thought of having my own in-suite bathroom was exciting!). Plus, the location is amazing. First off, you can't beat...

It has been a long time since I had such a wonderful hotel experience. The hotel is charming, clean, old, European-like. It is VERY well located. Excellent restaurant. Outstanding service. Staff goes out of their way to welcome and pamper. Particularly would I like to thank Roman King and Pedro !!!

We had an unexpected overnight stop in Chicago. I checked trip advisor for hotel deals and found the River Hotel. We were able to book very quickly at a great price. When we arrived, they told us they were full so were giving us an upgrade-double bonus! We had a 2 bedroom suite with a sitting area, 2 full baths...

Can't beat the river front location and easy access to the lake, restaurants and shopping. I travel alone for business and was very comfortable walking and running in the area on my own. I initially stayed at the property due to its reasonable price and lack of availability elsewhere but have since been back even when other hotels have had...

This is one of the best deals in the heart of the city. Location is what you're paying for: walk out the front door and you're at the Michigan Ave bridge leading to the Magnificent Mile, stroll along the Riverwalk right outside and watch the boats floating by, or walk a few blocks SE and you're in Millenium Park and...

Had a wonderful stay. Rooms are compact but well appointed. Would love to find out the manufacture of the sofa sleeper and bedding...super comfy! The staff is responsive, from the front desk to housekeeping to anyone we saw in the halls. You are central to Magnificient Mile, Millenium Park, House of Blues, the Riverwalk and any number of wonderful restaurants....

As the name suggests, this hotel is located on the side of the river, opposite the Trump tower. The location is perfect, as it is just 5 mins walk to the Magnificent Mile, where there is the Water Tower, Macy's (at the bottom), and many other shops. The Magnificent Mile definitely worth a visit, even if you are not into...

This hotel was very nice for the price and locations. Wasn't disappointed at all. The room was small and quaint but they decorated it nicely that it had everything you needed. I didn't even see the refrigerator until my guy pointed it out to me. We had a great view of the river and Trump Tower. The food in the...

The River Hotel is located next to the riverwalk and the magnificent mile section of downtown Chicago. We had the room on the 39th floor with almost a 360 degree view of downtown. Very clean and spacious. Staff was excellent and very helpful as this was our first trip to Chicago. Would highly recommend this hotel!
