I was in a beautiful suite with a nice living room/office space and separate bedroom and bathroom. On one wall of the living space was a mural made to look like the room extended, with a staircase in the far corner and a small patio 'outside' the desk. The patio door was open and there were even a few small... More

It is only about 4 miles from airport. Nice sized rooms...not a location where you can walk to anything. My room didn't have a bath tub only a shower. If you eat at the hotel, not a lot of vegetarian options.

I was expecting to be disappointed by this place, as I was paying a lot for the 3 days I needed to stay to join a meeting last minute. But it was pretty good. My room was on a high floor and although oddly configured, very functional and reasonably clean. The nightly cocktail and inviting bar in the lobby were... More

I have never stayed in a Renaissance that I have liked. Close enough to the airport but so dated like most in this sub chain of Marriott. Dark hallways, rooms that have odors and are dated. The front desk and I have had much better at Residence Inns or Courtyards. If this is the only option for night near Ohare,... More

Dear statestreet96, Thanks for your feedback regarding your stay at the hotel. It certainly will assist us as we try to improve our hotel and service to our guests. We will certainly review our lighting standard and also make sure that any stale odors are addressed before guests arrive. Your comments are valuable and I appreciate you taking the time... More

When I checked into the Hotel, the front desk agent, Welcomed me with open arms as if I was visiting his home. He was patient, kind, knowledgeable of his Brand (Renaissance), knowledgeable of his area, very very Professional and very Brilliant with his Hospitality! Earlier before I arrived, I had called the hotel to ask a question and the agent... More

Great check in, upgraded to very nice suite, although in the glide path of O'Hare did not hear a thing. Clean comfortable well appointed room, love the Aveda products for the shower. The lobby bar is hopping, live music. Very nice evening executive lounge, breakfast at the lounge okay. Pool opens at 5 am. Everyone on staff can write a... More

This location is your standard business/commuter lodging with a very contemporary feeling. From the initial greeting through to check-out, the experience was pleasant. After check-in, we stopped at the hotel bar, where there was a VERY chatty bartender. (frankly, over-the-top and a bit much with the chatter). Ordered lunch as the restaurant was closed. (it was around 3pm at the... More

For starters, I stay here quite a bit and I'm a Marriott Platinum Elite customer so I know what I'm talking about. I asked for a larger room, they gave me a smaller room! I had my wife and teenage daughter with me. I asked the front desk assistant if the room has a separate bedroom, she said yes, well... More

The goal of my stay was to get some sleep before a 6:00 am flight, but that did not happen. The good- front desk staff was awesome and very friendly. Room was nice and clean and hotel shuttle runs 24 hours and was on time. Coffee in lobby at 4:00am. The bad- my room was very close to expressway and... More

Dear Lisa_CrystalLake_IL, Thank you for your comments regarding your stay with us. I apologize for the noise from the air traffic and highway. It certainly can be annoying especially for a light sleeper. If you should return again please let us know and we will be sure to room you on a side of the hotel away from the highway.... More

Not only is the Renaissance aesthetically beautiful, but the team does not miss a beat in ensuring that each aspect of a guest’s stay is convenient and enjoyable! Given the property’s proximity to O’Hare and complimentary shuttle service, I would highly recommend making the Renaissance your go-to hotel prior to any flight. We truly felt like we were able to...
