Loved my stay here. The lobby had a nice feel to it and staff were friendly and efficient. The old elevators were an added bonus to the ambiance. The gym was great with plenty of equipment and a great view. Location was perfect for an early morning jog along the lake. Our room was perfect - simple but well decorated....

Stayed for the Cubs Yankees series. Very accommodating, I checked in prior to the 1pm game and they were able to give me a room early. Front desk staff was helpful. Room was nice. Only downside was in the morning I could hear the train across from our room outside. Fridge and in room coffee was great! Housekeeping staff was...

We stayed on a recent Saturday night in a beautiful modern room. Upon check in, the staff was so courteous and helpful. We took advantage of the bar at Mercat for a pre-evening cocktail and an appetizer. Our server and bartender were very attentive, despite having a sizable afternoon crowd due to a wedding on site and the horrible weather...

This boutique Hotel is my favorite of ALL the hotels in the Downtown area of Chicago. I feel a GREAT VIBE upon entering the lobby. Check In is quick, the staff could not be more pleasant and courteous! Any lobby with a free Billiards table, you know the Hotel HAS TO BE A COOL PLACE TO STAY. They enjoy afternoon...

The front desk was nearing completion of renovations yet remain quiet. The Club Lounge is on the Concourse (lower) level. Didn't make it to breakfast but evening munchies were great with plenty of choices for drinks. Oh and brownies! Vino will take good care of you. Quiet room at the end of the hall (2005). No view but my conference...

I had the pleasure of staying at the Blackstone. The hotel lobby is a beautiful historic gem. The front desk was super helpful and got me a last minute reservation at Mercat (the restaurant in the hotel). My room was nice (recently renovated) great views of Grant Park - the bathroom was spacious with finely appointed amenities.

My husband and I visited friends in the Chicago area last fall. We stayed with them just outside of the city for most of the trip, but decided to splurge on a group date night in the city, going to dinner and a Second City show, and got rooms here. We couldn't have picked a better location for exploring, and...

I have mixed feelings about the Renaissance Blackstone. If you get a room facing Michigan avenue, ideally a corner room like we had, you get fantastic views of the lakefront, from Soldiers Field and the Museums on the South to the North end of Grant and Millennium Parks, including Buckingham Fountain, Navy Pier and the Art Institute. And for the...

I was in town for a day of meetings and this was the best spot to relax. I called to inform them of a very late check in, 1:00 am, and they were very accommodating. I used their business center and was able to print a lot of documents. Only set back is the pay for internet fee in the...

Many great qualities: views of Lake Michigan, historic architecture lovingly preserved with some contemporary fillips. On bus line and near the trains. On a good day an EZ walk to museums and shops. Great location. Starbucks in lobby. Avant-garde Mercat tapas dining for those who want to dine and impress. Lovely lobby. Room decent size but chopped into hall, wardrobe...
