The hotel was very big but well maintained and clean which is very important to me, Rooms were very clean and smelled really good when we entered, I unfortunately didn't get the chance to use much of the facility but it was well guarded and the area around it was pretty safe despite what people had told me about the...

We stayed at the Chicago Hilton while we were in town to visit Columbia College of Chicago with our daughter. This hotel is located on Michigan Ave., in the South Loop area, across from Grant Park and the Shedd Aquarium. The area has Columbia College buildings, another school, businesses, restaurants and shops. The hotel has a high priced breakfast buffet...

Try to stay here on my visits to Chicago. This place never fails to impress and the views are amazing. Be sure to visit Kitty O'Sheas down stairs as it is an awesome lounge. I will say the negative about staying here is the parking expense at $60 per night

not sure where to start-convention going on that is not of mainstream which entailed activity, behavior and dress code style-sometimes lack of as people would actually be half naked- that created a very tense atmosphere that was not family friendly. The Look it up for yourself,it is every memorial day weekend. This hotel should know better and warn people. They...

I usually stay at the Palmer House (which I love) but wanted a change. The hotel has been very nicely updated but the update made it rather generic. Large hotel, great for meetings, conventions, etc. The rooms are large -- especially for an urban hotel. The hotel is very quiet and the staff outstanding. The executive lounge was not busy...

This is a very nice hotel in downtown or closed to downtown Chicago. I have been under the impression this is a not safe area. But it turns out to be very nice, quite and safe area. Michigan lake is just 2 blocks away. It was so nice to walk around, especially along the lake, after meeting every night. The...

The hotel is in a very convenient location, within walking distance to the planetarium, aquarium, and Museums. We bought the City pass and had a fantastic time in Chicago. The views from the hotel were great. The room was comfortable, clean and well equipped. The bed was perfect. The customer service was exceptional. The only problem was that I did...

Too many guests stays here. The executive lounge has nothing left for breakfast and we paid extra 10$ each, go down to 720S restaurant on the lobby. And waited around 45 mins in line until we had our breakfast. ruined the plan of the day.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Classic meets cool as Hilton Chicago embarks upon a $150 million renovation in celebration of our 85th birthday. The fresh, new vibe inspired by traditional, design rich elements pulls its inspiration from the hotel’s original architecture and intertwines a dynamic and contemporary spin. With the renovation underway, the hotel has already introduced over 400 new guest rooms, 13 new hospitality suites, a new technologically versatile Grab & Go – SNAX and a new restaurant with private dining space and bar – 720 South Bar & Grill. The new contemporary guestrooms have been cultivated with ornamental lacquer finishes, soft leather and rich, bronze wood detailing accented by a cool color palette of velvet and silk textured accents. Guestroom media capabilities include a 37 inch flat screen television, in room touch concierge panel, HCN Navigator computer and wireless and wired internet access. Following a day exploring Chicago, decompress at the largest Chicago hotel athletic club with running track, take a dip in our indoor pool facility or catch some rays on our sundeck during the spring and summer months.Located on Michigan Avenue in the South Loop, the Hilton Chicago is 1.6 miles to McCormick Place, along the Shuttle Route to McCormick Place and the first stop on the returning route from the convention center. Directly across the street from Grant Park and walking distance to Millennium Park, Buckingham Fountain, Shedd Aquarium, Field Museum, Adler Planetarium, Lake Michigan, Buddy Guy’s Legends, South Loop dining and art galleries, Museum of Contemporary Photography, The “Loop” – Chicago’s Financial district, State Street Shopping, Soldier Field as well as two short “L” stops to Chinatown. ... more   less
