We stayed at the Congress for a Christmas getaway. The location was perfect. We were able to enjoy so much of the city from Buddy Guy's to Grant Park and Millennium Park. Our room was spacious and clean.

Even motels these days have fridges in the rooms. This hotel room cost 150 and I did not have a fridge for my sons milk. Being that we are not from Chicago, and the hotel did not include parking, it would have been nice to know that ahead of time. For example at the receipt in the email maybe say...

I had to change my room three times because it was impossible to sleep at the rooms due a noise that no one could explain or help. To add to that I had to switch rooms in the middle of night with no support or care from the staff. On my third room I was locked outside for 2 hours...

Excellent location. Great view! We didn’t even ask about the view, desk clerk was very nice give us the room with amazing view. Very beautiful architecture of the hotel. Room was big, clean and nicely furnished. Even though it is old and outdated it is a piece of history. If you're looking for a luxury hotel, this isn't for you....

Karen, the sales manager, was the best to work with, in planning a surprise 60th for my sister. She got us booked in an awesome room, on the "haunted" 12th floor of the north tower. She sent us photos of some rooms and helped us pick the perfect one for the occasion. She also personally decorated the room for us...

We had a wonderful overnight stay at the Congress Plaza Hotel. Our family enjoyed the St. Patrick's Day Parade and the location was just steps from the parade route. We had three rooms and they all were updated with very nice clean white decor. The beautiful details throughout the hotel added to the overall experience. We even had an opportunity...

Hotel lobby was nice, we got checked in right away and room was ready. We were pleasantly surprised with our room. It was small but worked out well for us. Updated bathroom and inside decor. Great location - even though it was cold, we walked everywhere!

What a gorgeous hotel! I was traveling for a business convention and the company booked us all here. I enjoyed walking up the beautiful stairs. The rooms might be older but have great high ceilings and were very clean. They will hold your luggage before/after check-in/out. It allowed me to do some sightseeing at the end of my business trip....

This hotel does not know how to be a hotel. The staff are rude, closed the bar early and refused to serve us, and hung up on us twice when we called to ask about the lack of accommodations. Would never stay again.

I came to Chicago to photograph an exhibit of Greek artifacts at the Field Museum. I wanted a hotel near a bus stop so I could return to the Field Museum the next day for additional photos if necessary or visit the Art Institute of Chicago since it had been seven years since I had been there. I caught a...
