This hotel is an absolute jewel. It has a rich and colorful place in Chicago history. The staff is outstanding and attentive to every need. There are excellent restaurant choices, as well as an abundance of nearby restaurants and shopping. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are well appointed. The Lake Michigan views are outstanding (if your room...

Recently stayed a Friday and Saturday night in a room with a view of Lake Michigan and a king bed. The bed was amazingly comfortable. In fact, I ordered the mattress pad for home from Hilton's online retail shop. Hotel is situated right in the middle of numerous activities and attractions. We took only one cab to the Industrial Science...

We love to stay at The Drake. I want to give kudos to Gisele in the dining room. We had 2 or 3 occasions to interact with her...always good. On the last morning we were in a special rush to eat breakfast and get to the airport for an early flight. She realized that and went overboard to serve us...

The drake is one of my favorites hotels in Chicago. If you like Salsa dancing, you can come here every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month. Free salsa class before the party starts. Drinks are really good and the architecture of this place is marvelous.

I was at the Drake for business and from the bell desk to the front desk, the banquet staff to the sales staff the service here is exceptional. They really try to make every effort to accommodate the guest needs and in some cases make the extra effort. The rooms are a bit old but that is part of the...

We stayed at The Drake for one night. We had to change the date a few days before and I was happy to get an upgraded room and free breakfast for less than my original reservation. Unfortunately their system won't let you know about this so you have to check yourself. Nevertheless everything went very well and the room with...

What an iconic hotel. The history was amazing. Take the time to walk around and read all of the interesting information about this place. Checkin was great. The front desk staff were helpful. The executive lounge had a nice evening presentation. The room was well appointed. The only issue was the street noise, but it died down after 10PM.

I checked out shortly after checking in. The common areas has nice carpeting. The guest rooms and the bathrooms are several generations old. The cabinetry in the bathroom could not close due to several layers of paint (Executive room #914). The plumbing fixtures, phone and furniture are dated and should be destroyed. There is no life left in them. The...

After visiting this hotel in June 2015 I wrote the below review. I removed the review so I could add yet another disappointing aspect to the entire experience. When my original review of the Drake was posted, Management responded and asked me to contact them. I called Ms. Day as requested and informed her I was traveling cross country and...
