I stayed in kilronan castle for two nights for a family wedding and all I can say is WOW! Upon arriving at reception we had a gentleman take all of our suitcases and suit bags and guide us to our rooms which were located inside the newer part of the building. The rooms were beautiful from the golden wallpaper to... More

My girlfriend and I stayed here recently for her birthday. I had mentioned this to Dorcas when I booked my room. Upon our arrival we were greeted by a lovely lady who was very nice and informed us of all of the facilities available within the hotel. When we reached our room my eyes were immediately drawn to the beautiful... More

I visited this charming hotel in October. This was not my first visit and I was a little disappointed by the food this time. I ate in the restaurant on two night and the standard most definitely was not as good as previous visits. The hotel itself and the setting is still fab but I might try somewhere new next... More

We attended a wedding here recently and stayed overnight. We couldn't really fault anything, staff, food, decor, facilities and friendliness. All excellent. One small suggestion - a little bit of heat in the smoking area would be much appreciated by the smokers, and those who join them!

we stayed 2 nights as part of a CIE bus tour. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the grounds are stunning. We walked the trail through the woods to the entrance, it was great exercise. The food was as good as any other hotel we stayed at on our 2 week jaunt around the country, although it was time consuming... More

We spent our birthday recently at Kilronan Castle and cannot fault it one bit. In fact it's one of the most stunning places we have visited. The scenery, the rooms, the food, the spa and the service all 10/10. Booked again to visit for 2 days early next year.

Myself and My partner decided on a last minute trip to Kilronan castle last weekend. I booked a Castle suite on their website. A member of staff quickly called me to say the room i booked had just been booked by someone else before me over the phone so they would allocated us to a different room. We arrive there... More

My two friends and I checked in to the hotel with ease and went to our lovely room which was so comfortable. The beds were so comfy and the bathroom was nice and modern. Then we headed down to the spa for our treatments and to relax in the thermal suite. I had a full body massage and it was... More

Kilronan Castle is a magnificently restored Country house in Ballyfarnon, Roscommon. The public spaces were breathtaking. The rooms are newer, in an attached building, clean, large and well-appointed. Wonderful beds. Breakfast was just okay, though served by lovely staff in an exquisitely furnished room with magnificent views of the grounds. Based on its obvious use as a venue for large... More
