This modernised traditional village pub and hotel is north of the Chatsworth Estate. The turning for Pilsley is opposite the sign for the Chatsworth Farm Shop. I've driven past the end of the road hundreds of times but never called before. We went with friends without a booking on 2nd January 2017. Very helpful and amenable staff. Pub was comfortable...

We stayed for two nights over New Year's Eve. We had contemplated doing this for a number of years but have always been put off by the price. This year we decided to treat ourselves and stayed at the Devonshire Arms in Pilsley. Although the rooms were nice, the overall stay was a little disappointing. The food on news years...

Truly expecting a delightful stay with local produce on the table, given that we're staying in the Chatsworth Estate's own property and we're just 100m from the Estate's own farm shop. Yes, the room was lovely and the staff were friendly; it's that the food offer and delivery was a major let-down. We ate there on both nights of our...

I've never left a review below 4 but felt I needed to on this occasion. We booked a 2 night stay for New Years Eve and New Years Day at a cost of over £600 for dinner, bed and breakfast for 2, we thought this would be a real treat. From arriving to leaving there was a string of issues/problems...

Stayed here for two nights visiting Chatsworth. Rooms were nicely decorated if a bit small. But the evening dinner which was included in our tariff didn't match our high expectations. Somewhat laughable literally was the Bakewell Pudding, a local speciality. The lady next to us voiced her disappointment at the bland dry effort which we agreed with. And to our...

The room we stayed in in The Farm next door was great with a double bed and vast bathroom, very well decorated and a pleasure to stay in. However the wi-fi code given to us in the pub ( and posted on the wall) turned out to be wrong and having already got into bed to plan our next day...

I'll keep it short and succinct. I wanted to get away to that ever elusive "English Country Idyll" away from the obnoxious ever present stress of Manhattan and that is exactly what I found here. Ive been obsessed with both the Mitfords and Duchess Georgiana since I was a kid and when I stumbled onto the fact that Chatsworth Estate...

If you are going to Chatsworth House, or staying in the Peak District I recommend this hotel with no hesitation. The main pub has rooms above, and several out-buildings with accommodation; everything is seconds away. My room was incredible and consisted of a bedroom, small lounge and bathroom. The bedroom had a 4 poster bed I didn't want to leave,...

We stayed here for two nights in Red Way. The room was very nice and the bed was very comfortable. Our room was a Deluxe King room and we were very pleased with the size of the room considering it is in an old building. We are at the Devonshire Arms on both nights and thought that the food was...
