Great place if you want to be near enough to the amusements and noise of Southend but not on top of it. Better end of the beach, right on the doorstep. Very clean refurbished rooms, free Grab & Go breakfast a great idea as no restaurant on site, though the lovely pub and restaurant is only next door. Had a...

Friendly staff, clean and tidy rooms, free parking and the bonus of a free Costa plus bacon roll when you get up in the morning - What more could you want ? Close enough to have a long stroll down to the pier (approx 2 miles) and near enough to the Ocean Beach Bistro Bar for a good evening meal....

There are two Premier Inns on the Eastern Esplanade, so when you book, make sure you know exactly which one you are due to stay in - each is within a few hundred metres of the other. This one is purpose built, has a large car park, and is next door to the Toby Carvery. The Premier Inn chain is...

We all really enjoyed our stay (Family 2+2). The facilities and atmosphere in the hotel were brilliant, not only in the room itself but in the reception/communal areas. We found all the staff very engaging and felt that they WANTED to do as much as they could to make our stay the best that it could be. I have capitalised...

I stayed at the Premier Inn with my family (partner and 3 children) over the Easter holidays. I was so impressed! All the staff were so friendly , and happy to help. We had a family room , with 3 exceedingly comfortable beds , and a cot for the baby. We slept so well. In the morning there is a...

Make sure you check into the right hotel as there are two close together and we went to the wrong one first! Nice small hotel but not purpose built so I think there is no lift but only 2 storeys. Very quiet when we were there even on a Bank Holiday Saturday. Friendly helpful staff. First time we had had...

This inn at Thorpe Bay is at the quieter end of the sea front, but within walking distance of town centre. Also there is a regular bus service into Town and to the local train lines, I.E. C2C to Fenchurch street, and trains from Southend Victoria to Liverpool Street & to Suffolk & Norfolk.

Went to Southend on Good Friday and decided to stay overnight. Great hotel, sea views, clean, friendly staff. All in all probably the best Premier Inn we have stayed in. Topped off a great day at Adventure Land. No breakfast offered like in other Premier Inn's as there is Toby Carvery next door. But instead what was offered was great!...

Stayed for 4 nights in March using the saver rate so a really good value stay. Hotel is approx 1 mile from the pier but a lovely walk to get there. Check in was quick and efficient as you do most of it online now. Great parking and during our stay it was free although I'm not sure this is...
