I really wanted to give this motel a higher rating as there were so many good points about our stay. Our room had been recently renovated and was super clean. The beds were really comfortable and the shower was great. There was also a nice small table and chairs, a coffee maker and a massive tv. The room had two doors. One was a standard motel door which allowed us to park outside our room and made it convenient for bringing in our luggage, etc from the car. The other door led into a hallway, hotel style, and was handy for bringing breakfast back to our room (Covid protocols). The self serve breakfast was good and the front desk staff member was very friendly. Our big issue and the reason for the 3 star rating, was the highly scented sheets. I noticed a strong fragrance upon entering the room but didn’t realize until bedtime that the smell was coming from the sheets. I woke in the middle of the night with a blinding headache as I am highly allergic to scented products. My friend and I stayed in a motel in Quebec the following night and had to put our pyjamas in a tightly sealed plastic bag as the strong smell had remained on our pyjamas and started to permeate the room of this motel. I urge the management to refrain from using scented products as there are many travellers with similar allergies and sensitivities to fragrances. If I could be guaranteed that this practice was adopted, then I would stay here again.

Although not especially attractive from the outside, this hotel is part of Wyndham and is clean and comfortable. Rooms are very economical, although small inside. Only queen beds are available and they charge the same price for two beds as one. There is access to the room from inside and outside, which I didn’t realize when I booked. We did have some noise from the hallway.

Room given to us badly smelled of smoke. We were given a spray to use which of course did nothing to resolve the issue. Even with the window open, it felt very suffocating and we could not sleep. I’m pretty sure they were aware of the issue even before we checked in because they would have gone in to clean the room after the last guest! We asked for another room but were told they were full, and other hotels in the area were also full. No other solutions were offered. Be warned!!

Just the one night passing through the area and loved that this motel was very welcoming, clean, and comfortable. This motel is well located and away from street noise and was easy to find. Did I mention that the motel was really quiet too?

I really like this place. It's a motel near the highway, and it can be a little noisy. And perhaps the decor is a little dated. But it's always super clean, the staff always friendly and helpful, the beds always comfortable, and the breakfast is basic but very reasonable. I've stayed here once a year or so for the past decade (just travelling through and needing a good night's sleep), and I've always had a very good stay and been very satisfied. It's kind of grown on me as a fun part of my trip. I had another good stay a couple of nights ago and felt I should finally leave them a review.
