The free Wifi didn't work more than it worked. There was a table with no chairs. The bathroom was SO cold that we had to put on a pair of shoes or socks to walk on the tile floor. Noone on site for assistance. Received a number from the person driving the ghost bus and while the person called us back/texted back she was clearly irritated with our requests: our room had not been serviced by our return at 4pm on Saturday to which she stated "this isn't a B&B..." and told us we were on our own (though the description states daily housekeeping - and NO you don't get breakfast - or any food/snack service on site); asked for more towels to which her reply was she left us six-that should have gotten us through the weekend; and we had two coffee cups in the room which were used that morning. If I wanted to make my own bed and wash my own dishes, I wouldn't pay to stay at a "B&B." She did offer us to leave, which we did. She did offer us a refund for the second night, which was thoughtful. Had this been done, we probably would have just sucked it up. However, after a week, still no refund. She was unresponsive to husband's attempt to contact, so we went through Travelosity to get them involved. Received room only, not including the taxes charged to us. Room was pointed out by friend searching that we had been charged a higher rate per night than what was on the website. All around the worst experience we have had in a long, long time - and it was supposed to be a birthday celebration - instead a birthday I won't forget for a disastrous experience.

The information on Trip Advisor made it seem like the Ryan Mansion was a bed and breakfast. It is not. Many of pictures posted on Trip Advisor are old when the mansion was a B&B.There is no breakfast, only black coffee in your room. You do not have the option to stay in the Ryan Mansion. This is a cottage behind the mansion. You do not get to tour the Ryan Mansion as part of your stay unless you pay for the Ghost Tour separately. I wish I would have known all of these things before I booked my stay. The cottage was nice, but I expected more for the money.

Just to clarify this is a tour of the mansion not a ghost tour as the person at Ramada Inn told us incorrectly, but we just wanted to see the mansion & not do a ghost tour anyway. This is a nice tour of the mansion & it is being preserved to the time period which is nice to see, unlike the Belvedere mansion which is filled with junk that has nothing to with that home. The ballroom is currently under restoration for future use. The young gal that did our tour was very pleasant & knowledgeable about the mansion & the Ryan family who built the home. I like that she pointed out some of the architectural details that were unique & custom to that home. Although we weren't able to go up to the top lookout room I hope that would be open in the future.

Visited as part of Amelia's Ghost Tour. Toured the downstairs which is quite lovely. We were told the folks that own the home were hosting a dinner in the downstairs dining rooms later that evening.. I don't know if it is normal but the tables were set for dinner and the chandeliers were lit which gave an interesting vibe to the home.

I showed up at the Ryan Mansion tour one afternoon with my mom, sister, and mother in law. We love old houses and were in town so thought we would take a gander. The man who greeted us was dressed up in period clothing and asked us who we were there to see and if we had calling cards, etc. I know he was trying to be in "character", but none of us knew what to say to him and it just made things awkward. He gave us a quick tour through of a couple rooms and then we were met by a young lady (also dressed in period clothing). She actually made us all very comfortable and spoke to us like we were in the 21st century, which was nice. The tour was good, educational, and we were able to go at our own pace. The house is beautiful, but it is nothing to write home about (especially for the price of the tour). I was disappointed that we didn't get to see the grand ballroom. Overall, it was just okay.
