Recd a gift certificate for a night stay in one of the cottages. Best short vacation time ever. After enjoying the town/winery of Grafton, this is a wonderful place to sit on the front porch and just watch the time go by. Seeing the sunset over the river from on top of a mountain is breath taking. If you ever...

We love the views and the stay at Tara Point Inn Cabins! We have stayed at the Redbud and the Dogwood cabins. Loved both. The only thing we would like is a better Wi-Fi connection. Had fun watching the old DVDs .

The view of the confluence of the Mississippi and Illinois rivers was fantastic. The Inn is located on a large hill with a commanding view of the rivers and the local area. The cottages are nicely appointed, with everything good quality (with the exception of the sofas which sagged significantly). One morning's breakfast is provided, and it is tasty and...

My wife and I recently stayed in one of the "cabins" here for a couple of nights. It was the most spacious cabin we have ever stayed in and had all of the necessities and some luxuries. Grafton is a very interesting town with lots of diverse things to do and Tara Point is a wonderful place to stay to...

Visited cabins in August 2013 (stayed in r1)and August 2015.(r2) Both stays were very enjoyable, with r2 cabin having a slightly better view. Was glad to notice they put a wine opener in the cabin since our first visit and some extra soap (three bars total). As you can tell from the other reviews, the views are phenomenal and it...

We spent two nights at the Inn & the river views were tremendous! Enjoyed walking the deck the length of the Inn to get a bird's eye view from nearly 300 feet above. Alison was super cool, made a lovely breakfast & we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Want to go back in winter to see the bald eagles & stay...

We have stayed in most places in Grafton and this was by far the most enjoyable. They have two room suites with breakfast and snacks in the fridge. With provided binoculars we saw a lot of deer and Eagles. The view from the hill showed the rivers and woods. The bed was comfy and the area was quiet. We loved...

My husband surprised me by making the reservation all on his own (he never does this!), so we started out with a great memory. When we arrived, he drove straight to the Cabin we were to stay in and there were flowers on the table and a bottle of wine chilling. He later explained that he snuck these items to...

The view is spectacular. You have a picture perfect view of the river and bluffs. It is remote, peaceful and spiritual. The Inn is close to eateries and shopping. This is a place to meditate and renew, but still enjoy shopping and nightlife.

Stayed one night in the hotel, main house. (not cottages) This place is special. Cozy. Wonderful and Lovely. Family ran. Personal touches abound. Breakfast included home made local cinnamon rolls, OJ & coffee, fresh fresh fruits, cereals, bagels and breads jams and jellies....all just the finest. The view out our bedroom slider was just spectacular. Could not move the view...

“Cottages are in the trees. Nice to wake up seeing animals playing”

“There are several cabins and these are so nice & quiet. If you like being around other people, the rooms in the house looked very nice too.”

“There are two rooms inside of the Inn that access a shared balcony. The largest room is a suite and it does not. The rooms inside of the Inn have the most spectacular views. The cottages are roomier, with a more limited view of the water and bluffs.”

“We stayed in a lower-lever unit, only one available, but will try to get upper lever unit next time, if it is available. But all offer some view of the river, deck area to sit, so no heartburn at all about it. Rooms are no smoking (okay on deck areas).”
