We stayed on a two night for one deal. Excellent except for one minor thing. We were told late the first day there would be no continental breakfast the 2nd day because they were losing money on the deal. That implies they could have rented the space to someone else;then why offer two for one? Also, if they are losing...

Celebrated my husband's birthday in a cabin for a couple of nights in January. Bald eagles winter in this area and can be seen in the trees along the river. We saw quite a few. The bluff top location has to be the best view along the famous River Road. The cabins are wonderfully decorated, fully equipped and very comfortable....

We wanted to take just a couple of days break, and found this in Grafton, Illinois - one of the best places we have ever stayed. Looking for a cabin? This might be the Hilton of cabin life. Staff was great, accommodating, room was terrific - the decor is different in each room, I think, so you might want to...

We stayed in the house. The view is truly stunning. Pack a few bottles of wine, a cooler, and some cheese and crackers...and you are good to go. We sat for hours on the deck, viewing the barges, boats, birds and sunset over the Mississippi and Illinois Rivers. If you look east, you get a great view of The Great...

We had often seen this inn high on the hill as we drove through Grafton and wondered what it was. We were fortunate enough to get the suite in the Inn at the last minute after our other plans were cancelled. Although the decor was a bit dated, the suite was large with a sitting area and whirlpool. We had...

We spent an evening at Tara Point for our 30th anniversary - what a treat! Fantastic view overlooking the river. Allison and Fred are wonderful hosts and the house is beautiful with lots of great family history. Sorry we only spent 1 night and plan to return for weekend trips! I highly recommend Tara Point!

We stayed in one of the rooms in the Inn and had shared use of the game room, kitchen & full deck. The view from the deck of the Mississippi & Illinois Rivers was breathtaking. Our host, Allison is so welcoming. Her parents built this as their home & then decided to open part of it up to the public....

Wonderful getaway! Highly recommended! Friendly staff, clean accommodations, incredible views of the Mississippi and Illinois River valleys, peaceful and quiet setting, and able to watch the sunset and the sunrise from our cottage. We stayed one night, but would stay there again. The only negatives we noted: bed was too soft and the pillows were flat. Otherwise great location, close...

“Cottages are in the trees. Nice to wake up seeing animals playing”

“There are several cabins and these are so nice & quiet. If you like being around other people, the rooms in the house looked very nice too.”
Kimbohaley, 24 Jun 2015 | Read review
“There are two rooms inside of the Inn that access a shared balcony. The largest room is a suite and it does not. The rooms inside of the Inn have the most spectacular views. The cottages are roomier, with a more limited view of the water and bluffs.”

“All rooms have a view of the rivers.”

“We stayed in a lower-lever unit, only one available, but will try to get upper lever unit next time, if it is available. But all offer some view of the river, deck area to sit, so no heartburn at all about it. Rooms are no smoking (okay on deck areas).”
