We weren't able to stay at the lodge but did a day tour of the wildlife centre which was excellent. Our guide Billy was both knowledgeable and passionate about stopping the illegal wildlife trade and wildlife rehabilitation. We learnt a lot on the tour. This is not a commercial hotel facility. Fauna rescued from smugglers originating around the whole of Indonesia ends up here. The opportunity to stay onsite is arranged on the basis of a minimum donation. We arranged ours through Safari Tours in Manado (recommended). The lodge Wisma Tangkasi, has five luxury suites configured as doubles or twins named after endemic animals....

We are a family with 2 small children. We were highly impressed with the work done by the dedicated staff of the Tasikoki resort. The variety of the trafficked animals being looked after by the foundation is incredible. The volunteers who keep the place running do an amazing job and the managers we met, Simon and DJ are extremely knowledgeable,...

From the solitary female Gibbon's territory calls (one of a number of primates, mammals and a much larger number of birds, confiscated from the illegal trade in wildlife) to (if you get up early) the Tasir dawn chorus, you know that the heartbeat of Tasik Oki is provided by the animals not the guests.
