Flew from Dublin to Bristol with a view to driving down to Cornwall. We decided to treat ourselves with a stay 'somewhere nice' to break our journey. We struck gold with the Langford Fivehead. Absolutely amazing food in a stunning 14th century building that has history oozing out of every pore. It's run by a husband and wife team -...

My wife and I stayed here for two nights as a birthday present. The hotel is tucked away off a country lane and a challenge to find but is worth the journey. It is an old manor house dating from the 15th century with extensive, well cared for grounds and gardens. We received a warm welcome from the owner and...

Only went here for a birthday meal recently - and my goodness we will be back! The house and grounds are lovely, food delicious and all reasonably priced! I cannot wait to bring all my friends to dinner here when they visit. Highly recommend!

Wow. We went here for my mother's birthday. She lives fairly close and neither she nor her friends had heard of it. The word needs to get out! We had a delicious meal with some truly outstanding dishes. The tortelloni with goats cheese was exceptional and light. Fish main was great. The deserts were also fantastic. My mother had the...

More or less agree with most of the other reviewers' comments. A charming old manor house in beautiful grounds sets the scene. The room [ Nathaniel Barnard ] is spacious with large, firm [but comfortable] bed. Noticed the bed posts - 3 LH and 1 RH thread! Plenty of other quirks to spot in and on the house all of...

What a lovely place. Arrived for cream tea just in time for the scones to be bought out of oven. Warm and crumbly. Relaxing afternoon. Lovely lounge and great dinner. Beautiful place and fab service. Didn't see all of the rooms but am sure all are nice.

The house and gardens are beautiful, such a stunning and peaceful place. The food is outstanding. We eat out a fair amount and travel a lot to try new foods. The food is up there with some of the best food we have ever eaten, beautifully presented, sourced from local producers (the asparagus was the first cut of the season...

I have delayed writing a review because I wanted to try to find the words to convey just how good Longford Fivehead is. We are fortunate to travel the country eating out in Michelin starred and other high end restaurants - it’s our hobby. They all vary in style but this place is up there with the best of them....
