We spent 4 nights at Dovela Eco Lodge and had a wonderful time thanks to this wonderful project led by Thomas and Alex and by including the local population: nice view on the whales, virgin beaches, elegant "French-tropical" cuisine, pleasant walks by sunset among the villages and the dunes,... This Lodge has taken the audacious bet to associate the local...

Just back from a 3 day yoga retreat at Dunes de Dovela. I honestly can't fault it. Alex and Thomas provide elegant seamless service. The food it incredible and uses local produce (which is no small undertaking when you see how remote it is). The beach is pristine and the only other people we met were the local fishermen. The...

I had the privilege of staying 3 nights 16 to 19, last March in this wonderful Lodge, hosted by a local community team, managed by a great French couple who made my stay in superb comfort amidst a landscape that only very few can access... the ones that look for nature at its glory. The food, the perfect room on...

After leaving the main north south road in Mozambique you travel about 15km on dirt and sand roads to reach the resort. It is owned by a French couple who have done an amazing job to build the resort. It has been opened for...

My boyfriend and I had an amazing time at Dunes de Dovela. We are spoiled travellers, but we never experienced such a great stay before. Everything was perfect: the tent, the food, the location, the details, the hospitality etc. We enjoyed it so much, that we decided to stay longer than initially planned. This is definitely the best place on...

We stayed in a tent for 2 nights and could not recommend it enough! The setting is just perfect, a short walk from a secluded beach (where we were the only ones all day) but high enough on the sand dunes to get great views of whales breaching from the room or the restaurant. The open air bathrooms are also...
