I visit the area often and usually stay in either the Premier Inn or Day's Inn near Junction 36 of M4. However, on this occasion I decided to give this motel a try, having been attracted by the price, which included breakfast. The room was very clean but the decor was tired, the shower did not work properly and the...

Rooms at back of building with car park area just for hotel guests. Comfortable room with a massive tv screen. Decent enough shower. Cereal, toast and full English for breakfast. Car parking close to rooms. Very pleasant staff and bar has a very extensive selection of spirits. Would definitely stay here again. Only negative - please remove the fag ends...

I have stayed here three times now and although some of the rooms decor is slightly worn the rooms are spacious and beds comfortable. Every time I have stayed my room has been spotlessly clean. The staff here are lovely and the breakfast is good. The pub does good pub food at very reasonable prices and you cannot fault the...

Absolutely disgusted with the service provided by the landlady of this so called "welcoming" pub. My family and I went for a party and she served an underage family member alcohol who was 16 years of age. To top this off the language coming from her was disgusting and she also started on a gentleman in the bar because he...

Attended a friends' Birthday Party and several guests stayed overnight. We were made very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Stayed in a Motel type room which was clean and pleasant, bathroom was good but dated, it did have a bath and shower which covers all choices. Bed was comfortable and bedding good quality. It was great to park...

The room & facility's were quite good but as a B&B the breakfast (I had to leave @ 5.45am) was not very appetising (a bag of crisps & a sandwich I would not recommend) as I arrived late & had to leave early the most attractive part was the cost..

Overall, a great location for any weary traveller wanting an economical place to stay in south Wales. Good value for money and lovely memory foam beds. Nice staff and room. The only thing not making it five stars were non double glazed Windows, heating made a noise one evening and breakfast room was really hot! Turn down the radiators boyo!

Recently booked for a family Sunday lunch for 12 to celebrate my dad's birthday - the experience was awful. We knew we were getting tired decor and a 70s menu but what we weren't prepared for is the horrendous service. Everything was too much trouble and we were made to feel like the staff were doing us a favour. The...

Staff are friendly, place is clean, rooms are nice, tea and coffee making facilities, meals are big and nicely cooked, breakfast is nice. Good base if on business in the surrounding area. Would recommend. Price is very reasonable.
