We called at the last minute due to a bad experience at another campground, and were able to make a reservation for the same day, and they let us check in early. The sites are huge here, lots of friendly staff and very welcoming. Everyone camping, including the seasonal people were great! Great activities and golf cart parade at night....

Large pull through sites. Great rates. A lot of seasonal units, that are kept up very nicely. Plenty of room to take the dog for a walk. A place for the kids to play. Everyone was very friendly. The only issue is that you cannot make reservations online. Everything is done by hand. Getting online would be great!

Pretty setting, little shop spruced up for the holidays, on the river, nice manicured lawns, friendly staff, clean as a whistle. A couple of concerns... Phone service is spotty at best, no internet even on our Verizon lines, bathrooms are a bit aged, the close mid October until Spring and your brakes better be in good working order descending into...

We rented a tent site for an overnight stay and we got a spot just next to a pond with lots of noisy bullfrogs. We couldn't sleep at all beacause of the annoying calls that the bullfrogs were making all night. Finally we ended up sleeping in the car with earplugs. If you are looking for a good night sleep,...

This campground is by far the worst I ever stayed at, and I'm a FULLTIMER that travels non stop. The ladies that run the desk messed up my reservation and had a hard time figuring out what site to put me on. They worked here for years but act like it's there first day on the job. Completely unorganized and...

We spent a week at this campground in May and are planning on spending a month there in July. Well kept grounds, a few activities for children, quiet, not congested with too many sites and traffic, close to Rockford activities. The campground runs along the Rock River and is staffed by very friendly, helpful people. Free wifi but Internet reception...

If I could rate a zero I would. I'd had booked two campsites next to each other, at a specific location in the campground. I called in April to reserve these two locations. I had to pay one nights deposit for each, so $60 at the time. My friend had booked sites there as well, as we were all going...

We camped here for 3 nights. Very, very clean campground. Camp hosts were really friendly. There was a dog parade while we were there which is adorable. There is a playground for the kids. A lot of seasonal campsites which are kept up really nice. The only downfall is that there is no pool. I think a pool would be...

Stayed for Memorial Day weekend, eight families with travel trailers or motorhome. Just a little trouble with trees for one trailer. Nice wide sites, water & electric. Huge open space in middle of campground for recreation. Kishwaukee River in back of camper, would like to kayak that. Gnats were a bit of a nuisance. Not hard to find, with things...

Don't be afraid to go a little out of your way to find this little piece of paradise. It is calm and restful, just what you need after traveling or a hard week of working your butt off at work. Oh what a relief to kick back by a campfire with peace and quiet of a calm river in the...
