I had a United hotel voucher for Holiday Inn Express, yet the O'Hare area Holiday Inn Express had recently switched to the Edward Hotel. The front desk staff member went above and beyond to get approval to accept my voucher and I got a nice room and shuttle back to the airport in the early morning.

I booked this hotel thinking it was a Holiday Inn as I frequently stay in those due to the quality and cleanliness when I travel for work. I had to change rooms because of some stains on the bedding and curtain. The property is old and I was most disappointed that I did not have a refrigerator.

Note: The hotel has recently been rebranded as Edward Hotel. I spent three nights here with a school group visiting Chicago. The hotel was comfortable and convenient for our purposes, with plentiful amenities. The rooms are reasonably large and the beds are comfortable. The bathrooms are small but sufficient. We could hear noise from the highway, but turned on the...

The staff here made all the difference. It is not a quiet location. The even numbered rooms face the street with heavy truck and car noise. The odd numbered rooms face the railroad tracks and there can be freight trains passing by; however, they aren't that frequent and that side is much better. We had room #212 and after a...

I've stayed at this hotel numerous times over the years and it has always been consistently good. Not amazing, but dependable. I was told by the new management the hotel will undergo updates and upgrades in the near future to bring it up to the Edward Hotels level of quality.

Hi Robert_H_Olympia, Thanks for sharing your thoughts, it's nice to hear from a regular Holiday Inn Express guest. I am pleased to see your almost perfect ratings for the staff's level of service and hotel cleanliness. Without a doubt, feedback like yours encourages each staff to continuously work hard and provide stellar experiences to our guests. Although the property is...

This hotel is no longer a Holiday Inn Express nor part of the IHG group. It is now Edward Hotel. We had made reservations through IHG but were notified a few days before our trip that the hotel wasn't part of the group anymore, we regret we couldn't make points or take advantage of IHG membership but since it was...

Stayed 5 hours overnight . Had reservation... given last room at hotel. Room moldy, water damage. Armando then found a handicap room. It too had old damaged wall paper and curtains large water stains. Armando was very respectful thank you. There was a police issue at hotel which I'm sure occurs more then I realize. Discussed issues with Hotel manager...

This hotel is close enough to Allstate Arena to walk but it would be a highly trafficked and potentially dangerous walk. Google maps says just under a mile. We drove to the arena but then had to wait half an hour to leave the parking lot after the concert. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable. The vending machine wasn't...

Check in was easy and quick. The room was great with a ton of space with micro, fridge, wet bar area, coffee maker and great view of the airport. No cups for the coffee, not a big deal, but the walls are paper thin and you can hear everything in the hall and next door. They had a hot breakfast,...
