The inn on the lake, what can I say. We arrived early in the hope of dropping our bags off on the Sunday around 12. The rooms are advertised as not being available until 1500, therefore we were very content just to lodge our bags, nothing more. The setting is/was as beautiful as you imagine, perfectly charming! Que. the first...

Dear Ian & Tricia, I am sorry that we did not follow up to your expectations. And your stay was not a 5 star experience. However when running a family business (yes that strange man is my husband) it is for us very difficult to find the time to shop, shower, clean and make ourselves representable in the few hours...

What a great place, truly gezellig and full of charm. Pamela, her family and staff (and Basil!!) are all very welcoming and friendly. The room was comfortable and spacious, breakfast (different every day) was delicious and we were fortunate to have Pamela cook for us one evening - amazing Indonesian themed food. Broek in Waterland is ideally placed for public...

We really enjoyed this trip and found that this bed and breakfast was extremely cosy, well decorated and was placed in a beautiful location that overlooked the lake. For those who prefer romantic places to stay, this is ideal and the location is only a ten minute bus ride to the city centre. We used this service a couple of...

A charming stay for 2 nights in the black and white room overlooking the lake, very historical Listed parsonage, in a beautiful village. Comfortable beds. Welcome and hospitality from Pamela and team high grade. Transport into A easy. Visits to nearby villages and ports good. 2 good restaurant recommendations. If you like a different experience, you will enjoy this.

At first we had concerns over the distance we were from Amsterdam city central, but then we met the owners of this amazing hotel!!!! Pamelas food is divine, the staff all so friendly, Basil the dog too is so lovely. Pamela was so helpful with help travelling into the city or to other little towns, using the local bus instead of...

The Dutch people have a way of making their home cozy. Broek in Waterland is a village where the all the coziness seems to focus and on top, you will find the ‘Inn on the lake’. If you feel that the charm of this guesthouse already invites you with open arms, the big smile of Pamela, the hostess, will surely...

We stayed here just a few days ago, the location of the inn was fabulous. We loved sitting by the lake at nights watching the reflection of the lights on the water & it was quiet & peaceful with beautiful houses all around. 10 minutes from the centre, your hosts provide you with bus cards to get in & out..much...

We felt that this was a true find. The location is stunning, the inn gorgeous, rooms light and airy and the proprietors helpful without being too present. Karl gave us a fantastic canal tour which was a wonderful introduction to the area and Pamela cooked a really wonderful beautiful meal for us the first night. Having told her that I...

Beautiful, quiet location, in the centre of the village, on the lake and convenient for Amsterdam. Immaculate accommodation, expertly and imaginatively decorated, with no expense spared. Our host is an excellent chef; we sat in the conservatory overlooking the lake while she prepared a delicious meal. Breakfast was equally good - fresh pancakes with blueberries, raspberries and creme fraiche. A...
