The proprietors are friendly & accommodating, but at the same time respectful of your space & privacy. The two front parlors & the wrap-around porch provide options for relaxing and visiting during your stay. Breakfast was hot & delicious. The property (inside and out) is well preserved & maintained. My wife & I stayed in the Cornelius Flagg Room, and...

Doug and Rose, the proprietors, are such warm and gracious people. I almost immediately felt like an old friend in their lovely and historical home. Rose's hash brown quiche is utterly delicious! I truly enjoyed my stay, especially sitting on the back porch with their dog daughter, Isabella, protecting me from the squirrels. Pam North Redington Beach FL

Incredible home dating back to 1871. Comfortable, clean. Hosts were friendly and happy to share the history. Breakfast was terrific. We stayed in the Cornelius Flagg room which has an updated bath, very nice. A great escape to relax or take in Springfield, IL which is only 10 minutes away.

What a wonderful bed and breakfast! The building itself is impressive, a historic brick farmhouse with two guest sitting parlors, beautifully decorated and comfortable, as well as a wrap-around porch with a swing and tables. My parents stayed in the Cornelius Flagg room, which was spacious and elegant, and I stayed in the Farmhands Roost, which was a spotlessly clean...

My family stayed here over a weekend and we loved it! We stayed in the Sarah Flagg room which was so nicely decorated, clean and quiet. It was quite hot out when we were there, but there was a.c. and we slept very comfortably, also with the ceiling fan on. The owners were wonderfully accommodating. The breakfast was delicious. We...

The owners,Doug and Rose, are able ( and happy!) to answer questions about the Springfield area and it's many historic sites. They will even reserve tickets to...
