We were at a wedding held here and the location and quality of food/service was up amongst the best.. Moderately priced compared to other locations the whole atmosphere created by the staff was friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble and the wedding breakfast itself was absolutely delicious. Everyone commented on the quality of the food and service. The...

We stayed here for just one night and were very pleased with our stay. The hotel occupies a 15th century building which is original and full of character. Our bedroom was a good size, very nicely furnished and incorporating many of its original features. The staff were very helpful, the room was spotlessly clean and we had a wide choice for...

It's ok you know - the room's ok, the location's ok. I would struggle to say anything awful about it, as a place to stay, but I can't really think of anything great about it either. The room was, I think, in a converted stable block and was comfy enough but the tv was tiny and the windows a bit...

We have just enjoyed an excellent 3 course lunch for £18.95 though that hardly tells you how good the whole experience was today. From the moment we were warmly greeted at the door and shown to our table the lunch experience was very good. Extremely courteous and helpful staff with new and experienced members were always watchful and attentive. The...

I've stayed here a few times and find the staff very friendly, comfortable clean rooms (although somewhat dated in furnishings) a cooked breakfast and overall good value for money. Will definitely return.

Booked here as a last minute stay before on to a holiday. We stayed in the family room, wow, what a room. Lovely, clean, so much room! Had a great nights sleep and the breakfast was cooked to order in the morning. Friendly staff. Would definitely recommend if you need a stop off that's easy access from the M4!

I spent 2 nights here in early August when visiting Microsoft. I will admit my overall opinion improved over the second night as my sat nav hadn't sent me on a 30 minute diversion through congested roads to end up at the back of hotel with no way of getting to the front without retracing my route. This meant an...

Nice olde-world hotel. Friendly service and lovely quaint rooms in the main hotel with exposed timbers. Our room had a four poster bed and a massive bathroom. Very clean. Nice breakfast in the morning too. Ample car parking. Set in a nice location even though it is being encroached upon by a nearby retail development. Would recommend... but make sure...
