My husband and I stayed at Tara following a 27 day cruise. We felt like we were in a mansion compared to our balcony stateroom on the cruise ship. Julian picked us up at the dock and we checked into the first-floor suite which has a bedroom and a sitting room. Brom and Julian were so welcoming! Brom's Sydney maps...

I have just rebooked my third stay in this fantastic B & B which is like staying in a friend's funky 5 star urban retreat. i travel to Sydney on business regularly and I have been searching for a home away from home (with extra pampering) for years. With Tara I have finally found this urban retreat situated in the...

I spent a week at Tara whilst visiting Sydney for business. The pick-up from the airport was a real bonus after a long flight and I knew immediately that I arrived at the house that I had made the right choice! Julian and Brom were the perfect hosts and I thank them for a wonderful visit. I stayed in the...

Tara is a perfect balance of classic heritage residence and modern facilities. Hosts Brom and Julian are welcoming, and knowledgable about their local community and I felt at home immediately. Their attention to detail and style, with art and fresh flowers everywhere was remarkable. My favourite part of each day of my 7 day stay was the wonderful communal breakfasts...

I had two brief (two-night) stays at the Tara 'bookending' a working trip further up the coast. These were the perfect start and end to my first visit to Australia and gave to the whole experience something special. As a 'B&B' it is much more than these two letters imply. My room was one of the best decorated and most...

We have stayed at many bed and breakfasts around the world, but there is no place that does breakfast like Julian and Brom do breakfast. If your schedule will not permit you to be able to enjoy a Tara breakfast, you will be missing 80% of the experience in my opinion. It is not just the food, which is in...

We had high expectations for this stay and they were more than met. Julian met us at the airport when we arrived about 9am. We ate a light breakfast of delicious leftovers from the breakfast they had just finished serving while Brom quickly made up our room so we could shower after a long flight from the US Brom gave...

Julian & Brom were great hosts and the room provided a relaxing retreat on our trip. We really enjoyed our time there and will be back at our next stay in Sydney. The breakfast was absolutely divine and we connected with people. How often does that happen in big motels? Thanks again Julian & Brom. See you next time.

I chose to stay at Tara over another guest house due to the speedy and friendly replies to my questions. Julian and Brom are so friendly and are very knowledgeable about the local bus routes, restaurants and generally what is going on in Sydney. Honestly they really are people people. Breakfast is served at 8.30am on weekdays and 9am on...
