Couldn't have asked for a friendlier welcome. Sarah was happy to help with my special requirements, having recently had surgery. Couldn't fault anything at the hotel. The room is clean. The staff are lovely and they make you feel valued as a guest.

It proved to be a very comfortable ambient environment in a very good location for travelling around. We really enjoyed the meals and service that was even more appreciated as the work was done well under Covid 19 restrictions. Two events highlighted the "above and beyond" care and service we experienced, eg.:
1. We went to the room allocated to us that proved to be in the grround floor of the annex facing the car park. We noted that the upper rear rooms faced out onto a great pastoral setting. Margaret went to the reception and just mentioned this in passing to Vicky the member of staff on duty, and she went out of her way to obtain permission for us to move, as well as put in extra work because of honouring Covid 19 regulations to help us move up to what proved to be an excellent room. We applaud Vicky's graciousness and kindness to us - well done Vicky, we thank god for you.
2. Our daughter and her family came to share the day with us as they did, with the intention of going home after having dinner with us in the hotel. The main lights on their car failed so they could not drive home in the dark. We went to reception and mentioned this to Jason, asking if there was any way that they could stay at "no notice". Compassionately seeing the needs of the family, especially their two little girls, he proceeded to advice them of the best way to book online whilst he made a family room serviceable for habitation from scratch. Our family had a blessed stay and joined us for breakfast. How is that for EXCELLENT service - well done Vicky and Jason, and the whole PTI HH team and a BIG thank you. Eternal and prayerful Regards/ Bill & Margaret Saunders :) :) Psalm 145

Had a warm welcome from Vicki who checked us in and booked meals at pub next door. Hotel felt safe with ample hand sanitising stations, table service for dinner and breakfast and masks expected to be worn (rightly) other than at table. Room was clean and no housekeeping during our stay but able to get coffee etc from reception. Jason was able to help when I got stuck with WIFI - thank you.
Wem is a little town not far away and is worth a visit - real sense of community and Italian restaurant "Like Mama Used to Make" recommended.
The location is peaceful. Our room was on the back with a lovely view over the countryside and sheep as you would expect on the Welsh border.
A lovely location, friendly staff throughout - recommended.

The rooms were up to the usual high standards of Premier Inn. However this hotel is located in a village, not in Shrewsbury itself. The pub associated with the hotel is closed and it's the only pub/restaurant there. This means there is nowhere serving food in the evenings at all in walking distance, you will have to drive elsewhere.
One of the best features of Premier Inn is (or rather, used to be) the "all you can eat" buffet breakfast and you can't get it here. All that is available is a "breakfast box" you have to order to eat in your room with plastic cutlery, like you are on a plane. No hot food is available at all. This is disappointing, especially in a location where there is no other alternative available.
Please - bring back the all you can eat buffet breakfast and re-open the restaurant.
So as it stands this is more a motel than a hotel (many of the rooms are in an annex too) with very minimal food available. If all you want is a comfortable bed for the night it's fine but otherwise I'd look elsewhere.

I arrived to find I could check in but they could not issue me with a room key. If I needed to leave my room reception would have to let me back in again. This was crazy. Apparently it was a national Premier Inn problem that had affected all P/ Inns nationally. Sort it out Premier Inn - it is completely unacceptable. The receptionist said it had happened all WEEK - what a shambles and just goes to show how Premier Inns have lost their way.
My room was absolutely freezing. They provided a heater when I complained. But the heater was noisy and the room just felt cold without it on so I asked for a new room. It was at this point the receptionist (a different one from the one who gave me the heater) checked the fuse box and got it working.
The internet was again poor. A recurring theme in Premier inns these days (now Virgin run it.) I think they want you to pay £5 for the fast version.
There was no reception on either of my 02 or Vodafone mobiles so I had to put up with substandard wifi
The bed was OK but the mattress was worn and didn't feel like the usual standard.
Overall a disappointment and not a great sleep either

Premier Inn Shrewsbury North (Harmer Hill) hotel
The room was fine and we had a nice outlook over the countryside. Being away from the road we experienced no traffic noise.
However, the bed was uncomfortable, too soft and caused us to ache after sleeping in it. We did not sleep at all well and were glad to leave. This was relayed to reception ofter day 3 & 4 of our stay.
The bathroom sanitary ware was clean, but the floor etc needed a good wash. Hand soap provided was fine but shower gel land hair was too strong and drying.
Breakfast was provided in the Bridgewater Arms (Whitbread) which was attached to the Premier Inn. We would not recommend this place to eat. The floors were filthy dirty with food dropped by guests (even whole slices of toast) and not cleared away. Each morning we were treading through food whilst sitting at our breakfast table.
Many of the fabric on the chairs are heavily stained with greasy marks. We swapped chairs where we could.
Hygiene was very poor (more so when male staff were on duty at breakfast). Spilt milk on a table was not cleaned up but fresh trays of cups plonked on top of the spillage. Bowls of fruit salad were piled on top of each other and food sat in front of a window in the blazing sun with flies hovering around. Serving utensils, handled by guests, were left in the food. We were advised that the coffee machine was broken on day 1, but later advised that it sometimes worked and sometimes didn’t. It see,s that no one made any attempt to have it looked at.
Overall decor was also in need of attention.
Based on this stay and a second at another Premier Inn a week later, we will have to rethink what accommodation we book in future.

Friday evening 22nd July and we spent the evening here on route from Devon to Holyhead.
On arrival here, early evening, we were promptly checked in by a helpful member of staff.
Our double room was located on the ground floor and on a secluded side of the building, so no external noise.
There were tea and coffee making facilities, a wall mounted television, hairdryer and an air-conditioning/heater. Additional pillows were also available in the room.
The room was spacious, clear and well maintained. The bed was comfortable and the bedding was crisp and clean.
The towels in the bathroom were clean and fluffy. There were dispensers with hand soap and hair & body gel.
The bathroom whilst clean it was a bit jaded and in need of an update. The toilet was old and looked it, paint was peeling off the bath panel and skirtingboard.
The location here is a bit remote, however, the Bridgwater Arms is next-door for food and drinks.
Overall a very good place for our stopover, would definitely stay here again.

The only redeeming feature for this hotel are the unbelievably charming receptionists. From there on, it's down hill all the way. The surly bar team and service staff in their restaurant is a testament as to how to ensure your guests never come back: bad tempered, rude and unwelcoming. The rooms are airless (you cannot open windows), the beds, despite Lenny Henry's finest endorsement, are hard and hideously comfortable. (You are better sleeping on the floor!), the two day incessant flickering hall light outside our bedroom made Bates's Motel seem the better option. Housekeeping was very poor and found my 93yo infirm mother's bed still unmade when we got back from a family wedding at midnight. Having stayed at a Premier Inn in Suffolk, this is truly very substandard and needs an overhaul starting with the hospitality staff. In my very many years of staying in some of the best and not so good hotels around the world, this one ranks as the second worst only because the reception staff were so wonderful. Premier Inn take note: none of our party of 20plus well behaved guests will be returning,

A great 1 night stay for a family of 4. The room was nice and cool and two extra beds had been made up for our children. We found all the staff incredibly friendly and helpful one of them even made an extra card key for me. We had an evening meal and were served by a well organised and friendly waitress called Jack. The breakfast was great, I had vegetarian sausages and couldn't have fitted anything more in but had the option of also having porridge and croissants! Throughout the whole stay the staff had thought very carefully about Covid 19 and social distancing. There were lots of hand sanitizer stations and in the pub a one way system had been introduced.
I've never had a bad experience in a Premier Inn, there are never any nasty surprises and the staff are always so warm and helpful, they are a credit to the company.

First visit to this Premier Inn and upon arrival booking in was fine and we attended our upstairs room with views of the open countryside. The first thing we noticed was the free Premier Inn internet was non existent and we couldn't obtain 4g and to cap it all there was very limited o2 reception. Along with the fact we didn't have enough towels, which was easily sorted with one of the housekeeping staff. Having unpacked first use of the bathroom resulted in water emerging from behind the toilet and a flood to the point we had to use towels to stop it. We informed the reception who moved us to the only room available a ground floor disabled which had a view of a car so we couldn't open the curtains. Internet still the same. Having suffered someone with clogs on walking in the upstairs room from 0630 each night of out two night stay I was left unimpressed. I'm going to put this visit down to bad luck more than anything else, but get that internet sorted.

You’d have to book the accessible room online and then ring the hotel to ask for the bed to be split into a twin
Pretty sure they all have a bath with shower over
We stayed for a wedding and booked a taxi. I would suggest you ring the hotel to check if it is on a bus route.
We were also in the new block. The rooms were clean abd tidy and well appointed. From memory there was a reasonably sized TV
