Run down, dirty and poorly equipped. The evening meal (on both nights) was cheese triangles and bread. If this is the only place to stay in Wadi Natrun then the area is best visited as a day trip from Cairo.

It is located close to the beautiful saltwater El-Hammra Lake, where visitors can swim in the buoyant waters, bird watch, “stars watch”, visit some of the oldest monasteries in the world, go for walks in the desert, host meetings or courses in our lounges, play sports in our courts or simply relax with a cup of tea in the swimming pool.We have nine palm tree leaved roofed bungalows and ten new Nubian style chalets. Each one stands alone which ensures your privacy. They have one, two or three bedrooms and all of them have their own en-suite private bathroom. In front of each unit there is a private terrace, where you can relax enjoying the nature. Each one has its own unique "personality", the furniture is hand-made and all the materials used are natural. Also you will find hand-laid mosaic tiled floors and locally crafted rugs.
