We visited this hotel as a potential site for wedding guests to stay for our family. The hotel management was so pleasant and accommodating that we also contracted with them to have our wedding rehearsal dinner there. The catering menu was extensive. A full bar was available. The event coordinator and the manager took great care in preparation of the meeting room for our event and the food presentation was attractive and delicious. Everything we asked for was well taken care of. Our guests were pleased with their rooms. There is a spacious, inviting public area with a fireplace and comfortable seating where our family gathered several times. The shuttle bus driver transported us safely to and from the wedding. All I can say is we had a wonderful experience!
This is a remarkable hotel! This double tree feels like you are staying in the country, rather than in the grips of the huge Chicagoland area. Rooms look out to a quaint courtyard or beautiful grounds that include trees and a lake, The rooms are well appointed with large bathrooms with walk-in showers. Breakfast is ordered off a menu and promptly served. There is easy access to tollways and expressways that allow you rapid travel throughout the Chicago area. The airport is very nearby. Finally, the Double Tree cookies area really special. The hotel staff are friendly and very helpful. What a nice place to stay!
40 years ago, Hotels stopped issuing keys with room numbers and went to great lengths to obscure a resident's room number. For inexplicable reasons, the first question a Hilton resident is asked when approaching the front desk is "Room Number". How does Hilton not see this as a security breach and potential security risk? If their software sorts/queries by room number, this is an intentional breach of security-someone at a pay grade high enough to make such a decision made the conscious decision to use room number versus last name or confirmation number!
This hotel is near the airport. Get an interior room, that is a must unless you like jet noise at 330 am in the morning(and non-stop all night). Maybe an interior room would be better. I got an exterior ground floor room is the room I got. I am a Diamond member and DID NOT choose the cheapest room for my reservation. My room must have been near the dumpster/loading dock too. Yeah the early morning delivery truck with that nice back up beeping at 430 in the morning. Then they plug in the in room coffee pot under a shelf in the dresser so you cannot pour water into the coffee maker. I had to move the dresser, unplug the coffee maker, remove it from the shelf and then use it. I will say the staff is very nice and helpful. Service in the restaurant was very good. Jose was very good. I will not stay at this location again, even if I am guaranteed an interior room. I need my sleep.…
This is my go to hotel when I travel for business. The service is excellent. Jose and Ryan at the front desk make you feel at home away from home. Jenny took care of my room and was wonderful to talk to her. Let me also mention that they serve dinner and the pork chop was exceptional!!! The gym is great as well. I definitely will have to bring workout attire next time and then relax in their pool. Overall, their service is one of the best that I've had.
Website did not respond to check reservations. Thus major mixup in cancelled rooms. First desk said sold out , them mysteriously after complaining and saying I’d have to cancel all 3 rooms and go elsewhere thfound a room. This happened twice
Came for a 2 day business conference and had a great experience! Ryan and his team treated us superbly. Conference rooms were great, food was delicious, beds were comfortable. Everything you need in a hotel stay.
I've been staying here for many weeks for business, and it has been a joy. What makes this place stand out is the staff, led by the GM, Tim. He's very engaging, friendly, cheerful, and helpful. And he has a great sense of humor! His attitude is reflected in his staff. Everyone I've had contact with has been top drawer! From the young lady who's there at night Akiya (?) to Amir, Josh, Rick, Sharon, and the new Asst. GM ( can't remember his name) have been excellent! Feels like home-away-from-home to me.
After a long day of traveling I didn’t want to get back out. Ordered food from the menu at the front desk! Was at my room in no time, was still hot and the fries were fresh and not soggy! You are missing out if you don’t order
I stayed at this hotel back in February. The Front Desk staff were some of the most friendly and accommodating that I've encountered. Hotel is incredibly clean, comfortable bed, good food and service in the restaurant... Overall a great experience. I will definitely be back.
