Thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at Protea Hill. Fred and Jeanine are excellent hosts providing all the support you need while respecting guests' privacy. We had the downstairs unit which was very comfortable. Everything was clean and in good working condition. The view from the breakfast table was magnificent. Wifi was very good. Jeanine prepared a good breakfast of...

My daughter and I spent 3 nights at Protea Hill and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The rooms were comfy and warm and provided all that we needed. The view over the river was beautiful and at night the city and its environs looked like fairyland. The breakfast was adequate and the fresh boiled egg was very tasty. A most relaxing...

The rooms were very clean & comfortable, & the views lovely. I think the way breakfast is served could be improved. I'm usually asked how I like my eggs cooked, but at Protea they were hard boiled (yuk!). Possibly the biggest disappointment re: breakfast was being served Kraft cheese slices wrapped in plastic!! Tasmania produces some divine cheese & providing locally...

We spent 3 nights at Protea Hill B&B in Launceston, on Tasmania. Our hosts, Jeanine and Fred, were very helpful in providing suggestions for places to see and the time it would take to travel to see the sights in the area. This was our first trip to Tasmania. We had rented a car at Launceston Airport and our GPS...

This is a great place to stay - great views over the Tamar, failrly close to CBD, quiet and peaceful and the hosts are really helpful. We stayed in the unit under the house and it was very clean and comfortable and had most facilities that you would need. There was a small problem with availability of hot water but...

This was our first experience staying at a B&B..........after spending time here I can guarantee it won't be our last. We were greeted by Jeanine who was very welcoming to her home. Our accommodation was down stairs and very private. The gardens and views were lovely, pity we didn't have more time to sit and enjoy them. Breakfast was very...
