Just returned from this beautiful relaxing place. Reto takes great care of his guest. The beach is swimmable and very clean. Food was great everyday. No need to go outside of this gem. We will definitely be back soon.

I stayed with my wife and sister and brother in law for 2 nights, maybe it was a little hard to get there because of the dirt road, but it was only about half a mile long, but after we got to the place it was totally worth it, with a pool in case you don't like swimming in the... More

There's really nothing quite like this place. The experience is somewhere between a secluded luxury resort and a small bed and breakfast with really attentive staff. There's no TV or phones, and barely cell service or wifi... You are on a private beach, (sometimes alone) off a dirt road, so you really have no choice but to relax and unplug.... More

The road to get to the hotel can be a bit deceiving, but once you get to the hotel it definitely pays off. The rhythm and life in the surrounding area sets the stage for a great stay. Our family of four really enjoyed the beach and the pool. The food at the hotel is absolutely fantastic as well as... More

I was very pleased with the experience at Hotel Manta Raya: the beach is superb, the food at the hotel is great, and the hotel crew's hospitality was really warm. Excellent option to get away from my routine. I even lost my cellphone during my way back to the airport, and Amaya and Reto managed to locate it, and send... More

This was a wonderful place to relax with kids. The owner and employees make you feel very at home. The food is wonderful and the rooms are great. The one downside is that the beach was too rough for swimming with kids, but we had a great time walking along the beach, collecting shells and playing in the pool.

Just seven rooms, by now we know three of them. Every room with excellent ventilation and mosquito screens. We didn't use the installed A/C very much, just for a cool-down before sleeping. While the rooms breathe the spirit of reduction to the essential the kitchen is creative, just two dinner options, one based on fish the other vegetarian or other... More

Manta Raya is a wonderful, off the beaten path, slice of heaven. My husband and I were wary of making the trip because we didn't have a car so we knew it would take a bit of extra effort, but we are so glad we did. The staff treats you like family but with the utmost professionalism. The beach and... More

We've just returned from a 6 week trip to Mexico. We stayed at Manta Raya for two nights in July. It was one of the favourite parts of our time in Mexico for our whole family. My kids loved it and so did my husband and I. Manta Raya is a special hotel in a very special place in Mexico.... More
