The casino is OK but rooms and buffet are over priced. My Daughter, son in law and I went for the buffet recently. It has really gone down hill. The rooms are over priced for the area but the casino is nice.
Easy location to drive to, Great parking, easy check in and out. Very friendly staff and all very helpful directing to things to do and places to eat. The restaurants had great food and reasonable pricing. Ornate woodwork in hallways could use some dusting but...More
The overall hotel is clean and the complementary is good. But I have three complaints; the internet (which is absolutely essential in this day and age) is AWFUL it seldom works anywhere on the property and when it does it will shut down every 5...More
Arrived at hotel for check in and there was a long line. Only had two people checking everyone in, but they still remained to be very friendly. Finally got through that, and went to our floor, to only find out it was next to the...More

The horseshoe that I've been to is in Cinci and doesn't have a hotel. I've been to grand Victoria in rising sun and it was a joke, will never go back. I don't remember ever having a bad time at the Hollywood Lawrenceburg and that goes all the way back to the days of waiting in line for 2 hours for the Argosy boat to return to dock. Since they built the Hollywood Casino and Hotel it has always been first class. I think they have suffered since ohio opened casinos and laid off people, closed tables, etc. No breakfast buffet with omelet chef early in the week anymore but still packed on weekends. If I can't make it to Vegas then I would pick Hollywood Lawrenceburg. (Or maybe IP in Biloxi, but that's a flight, not a 2 hour drive)
