I stayed here for 2 nights and it was very relaxing and peaceful. The room and common areas are very clean and decorated in such a cozy manner. My room was quite large and very quiet. The best part of breakfast is the little apple fritters they serve. My only complaint is that my mattress seemed rather hard and uncomfortable....

Staff were excellent. Rooms bright and clean. We stayed in the newer section. Easy to park and get around. We went to a Notre Dame game and got in late. The Essenhaus Inn is easy to drive to from the game. The breakfast is either sausage and gravy or scrambled eggs. There were small rolls and waffles. I would have...

From the moment you walk in you feel like you're home. Beautiful country style decor and large, welcoming spaces. Oversized rooms, each one uniquely decorated In an Amish style with quilts on the beds. Lovely grounds, well manicured and decorated with seasonal items that compliment the buildings. Visitors can also enjoy a complimentary hot item continental breakfast or eat at...

I had a wonderful stay. My room was on the 2nd floor and it was lovely. The room was large with a king bed( very comfy) a love seat and coffee table and standing lamp. I also had a desk and round table with 2 chairs. My bath was roomy with 2 parts with sinks in each. I also had...

Stopped for dinner at the Essen hauser. The food was just wonderful. Chicken is their specialty. They have two dinning areas family stile and menu. A bakery in the back is a must to see. Lots of home made stuff to make you bigger then you are today. But you will have a smile on you face.

My wife and I went to Das Dutchman Essenhaus to celebrate her birthday along with a night in the Inn. Overall, we were very impressed. The food at the restaurant was really good and unlimited, high-quality buffet options, which were re-filled even when they were busy. The hotel room was nice too. My only suggestion is the variety of items...

Our balcony room overlooked the lakes, covered bridge and green front lawn of this resort. Public areas and our room were well-appointed and nicely decorated, with lovely furniture, quilts and flower arrangements. Essenhaus has the feel of a nice European inn. We enjoyed waking around, visiting the shops, the restaurant, bakery, and large quilt garden. Middlebury is a good central...

I was introduced to this hotel through a bus tour from Ontario, Canada. I spent 3 fabulous nights at this gorgeous hotel. The service was excellent, staff amazing and friendly. We dined on mouthwatering homemade meals, which reminded me of down home meals. The beds/pillows suited my fancy perfectly and I had the best 3 nights sleep that I had...

The staff was very accommodating & wanted to make our stay comfortable. The 2 queen bed room was huge compared to most hotels where I've stayed. Only bad thing was the pillows were like rocks so I should have asked for something softer.

We stay here a few times a year and this trip we were offered a loyalty card which will entitle us to a free night after ten paid nights! Love, love, love it!! Also, we visited on the very busy Saturday of Labor Day weekend and, as guests at the Inn, we got a "reservation" for the restaurant that entitled...
