Just back from 9 nights at hotel Palma. We had a lovely, spotless, comfy room on the 5th floor with a side sea view overlooking the bay. The staff were absolutely lovely, couldn't do enough for us. It was my birthday whilst we were there and the staff surprised me with cake, complete with candle and singing at breakfast! The breakfast was a good mix of continental and cereals, fruit etc. And the dinners had a good selection of salads, cheese, meat, hot and cold dishes. Ideal location in easy reach of bars, restaurants and supermarkets. 5 minute stroll away from Porto Montenegro with impressive boats and high end shops. A great base for exploring other towns such as Budva, Tivat and Perast. Would definitely go back
Had booked a stay here for 5 nights through booking.com. We had travelled most of the day and finally arrived around 11pm(23.00hrs) We were dying to sit down ,have a drink get to the room and walk along the sea before bed. The night manager Marko told us “ bar is closed so no drink” ! We were taken aback at his rudeness as clearly there were staff still behind the bar. My husband pointed this out to him and he relented. When we asked to view the room he became very aggressive and demanded we pay before we went up. Our wallets were in our cases so we wanted to unpack and retrieve them. He came up to the room in the small lift with us not wearing his mask . I pointed this out to him and he brushed it off. He acted agitated and aggressive towards us. When we got to the room he stood there waving the credit card machine at the door . We asked him to wait outside and we would be down soon. He then pulled the room card out from the light switch leaving us in total darkness. I was terrified and said to my husband “ let’s get out of here this guy is crazy and I don’t feel safe”! We went back down to reception and told him his behaviour was despicable and unprofessional and we weren’t staying another second. We handed him the money for the drinks and he threw it back at us saying “ I don’t want your money”! I said he wasn’t the owner and it wasn’t his place not to accept our money. We literally were shaking as we walked out into the night with no place to stay ladened down with luggage. I actually cried as we strolled along the seafront worried if we’d have to spend our first night in Montenegro in our rental car. The worst part is that the hotel charged us over €1100 on our card . We have appealed to booking.com to seek a refund on our behalf but they have said there’s nothing they can do if the hotel refuses! Looking back we should have called the police and reported this manager! We’ve never felt so humiliated or insulted by a Hotel manager ever! Even though we are considered loyal genius customers of booking. com our request for a refund has been denied. Apparently we were in breach of hotel policy . I pointed out that we turned up ,we viewed the room , we left our card details on file thus breaching no rules. It was the hotel managers deplorable aggressive manner which made us leave. I would definitely not recommend a stay here . If things go wrong it’s the customer sadly who pays the ultimate price! I’m sad to learn that platforms such as booking.com don’t do more to protect the customer also.…
Hotel Palma is a very nice hotel with a quite convenient location by its own beach and by the main road of Montenegro Port which is a great boutigue port with nice coffees, restaurants and shops. My son and I stayed at a room with a balcony and it was really special to wake up with a beautiful sea view or to sit down and enjoy a drink with the sun set. My son is 10 years old and staying at this hotel was quite convenient in terms of its own beach with only a few minutes walk from our room. During the Pandemic times, we faced some extreme circumstances while we stayed in Montenegro and I would like to thank to the hotel manager, Marko Kovacevic, personally for his support and solution based approach. He was a hands on helpful manager which is really good for the hotel and the customers. The front desk personnel Vukica Andrijana also stood out among her collegues with her interest in the customer matters and her empathy like approach; these things are important and makes you feel special. I would definitely like to come back again and stay at hotel Palma with family and friends in the coming seasons. Thank you, Deniz Koksal…
We stayed in for 5 nights , the hotel got an amazing view and location and they got such a friendly stuff . The manager ( Marcos ) was so professional and friendly and he upgraded our room and he managed every single concern we asked for . I would highly recommend this property . They got an amazing breakfast with many varieties and the stuff are so helpful . Sure will choose this pro again
We booked hotel palma for our honeymoon but unfortunately my husband tested positive for covid. It wasnt free cancellation but I explained the situation & they cancelled for free. We then rebooked for 2 weeks later and went. The hotel is lovely, the staff were fine. Our room was ready for our arrival which was earlier than expected and they upgraded us for free to a sea view room as we were on honeymoon. The only thing that was disappointing was the breakfast, it really wasn't great. They didn't mention the gym wasn't open until we tried to get inside but apart from that it was a nice experience. Oh tiny shower!
