Great value for the price. The area is vastly over priced but this hotel was reasonable and surprisingly clean & comfortable. It's no frills, but for a business stop it was perfect. I appreciated the outdoor entry, which is becoming harder to find.

The hotel is an older former Super 8 (I believe) run by a nice Indian family. Room old and dated but clean with nice mattress and VERY hot water. Decent cable TV and pretty quiet. A little dirty around the edges and from the outside appears a little sketchy but we never felt uncomfortable. Overall a nice overnight stay with a very affordable rate.

Used to stay here before the holiday inn opened many years ago. Really a very old place. Lousy beds, noisy air conditioning etc. no services at all. stay at the holiday inn express or take the time to drive elsewhere. The b&b in town is supposed to be ok.

I was stranded at this motel for 3 days due to car trouble. The owners were very accommodating. It's not fancy but is clean, well-kept and very reasonable. The bed was especially comfortable. My only complaint is that no ice was available during my stay. It was winter, but guests still need ice. I recommend this motel -- especially for a clean, safe, reasonable overnight stay if you happen to be passing through the area.

Found this motel on a site. Reserved it for a quick passing through. We arrived around 10:30 p.m. & understandably had to ring the bell for the office. Upon entering the gentleman (I'm assuming an owner, Middle Eastern or Indian, not sure & no! I'm not racial profiling just stating a fact) was sleepy & not very engaging. A young teen; maybe 13, helped this older man with our reservation as if the older man didn't fully understand the process! If someone from another culture wants to own a business - fine, but learning English should be paramount! With that said, the room was clean with exception to the newly painted walls & ceiling that left telltale splotches on the carpet. The beds were very comfortable & the shower had a decent pressure to it. While it was an inexpensive room & fine for what we wanted it for; I wouldn't want to stay any length of time. Also, there is no breakfast of any sort available & the coffee, though graciously made fresh for me, was just so so. Too, if someone is wanting to watch TV, there wasn't a cheat sheet & though we tried variations with the 2 remotes, we couldn't get the TV to work. There was a Gideon Bible in the night stand though - we always appreciate that!

This building has been here for many, many years and has fallen into disrepair and filth. Air conditioner did not work, carpet was filthy, bugs on the floor, stains on the bed spread. Also the room smelled very strongly of industrial deodorant whih smelled thru the night. The manager, receptionist and maintenance man (all the same fellow) was pleasant and apologetic and admitted that it was a task to keep up with what had to be done. This place must be surviving from its prior ratings.

Now called Interstate Motel, but the same place I've been returning to for years. Friendly staff. Clean accommodations, and VERY reasonably priced. Close to the interstate. Easy on/off. Certainly, not a destination motel, but works for me. I've been staying there twice a year for almost a decade. No complaints. Good value!

Very clean, fair prices, comfortable bed. Fast check in, convenient location. Recently updated rooms, new plumbing fixtures. This is about as good as it gets with an independent. Highly recommend. Win.

I was skeptical. My elderly parents I was driving back to Michigan from Florida do not....EVER...want to pay more than $70/night for a hotel while on the road. I simply put up with bad hotels on our twice-annual journey. They didn't want to spend $90/night at the only other hotel at this exit so we defaulted to Knights Inn. Again, I was skeptical. Signage and some other outside features are lacking attention so this simply had to be another bad hotel experience for me. To my pleasant surprise: new/clean carpeting, fairly fresh smell, hot and high pressure water and pretty darn clean. An old hotel but the owners have put money into what I consider the most important things that make up a good stay. Don't let the outside fool you as they have done their very best to take care of the rooms. I am so happy to write this review and hope someone reads it and stays here and finds their stay as surprisingly good as I did. To the owners: way to go!

Despite my initial skepticism about Knights Inn Motels, I read Trip Advisor reviews and decided to make a reservation. We checked in Thanksgiving night en route to northeastern Indiana. The room was immaculate, probably one of the cleanest motels at any price I've ever visited. Yes, the motel looks like it was built in 1962, and the amenities are very sparse, but the spotless rooms and the low price well outweigh those minor negatives. As an added plus, the woman at the desk was very friendly and the check in procedure took about three minutes. The only problem we had in our room (122) involved the heater. It seemed all it would put out was intense heat...all or nothing. Halfway through the night, the room almost steamed, getting up to 90, and sleep was impossible. Putting the controls on "low heat" made no difference. I shut off the heater, the room cooled down. That was fine except that, due to being 23 degrees outdoors, i had to turn the heater on again, and once again we broiled. The wall thermostat seemed to do nothing while the unit under the window turned the room into a veritable steam bath. Then again, perhaps I didn't operate the controls correctly. Regardless of the heater issue, I was pleased with the overall experience at the Knight's Inn and will return if I drive that way again. As a note, for the low price, there is no breakfast offered, but fast food is right down the road.
