Great place to get away from it all and have a tranquil resort holiday. Not within walking distance to the town but this wasn't a problem as staff are helpful and can order a driver or cheap motorbike drivers to take you around. When our driver was late to take us to the bus to Tayrona the owner even drove...

We went there for a friend´s wedding and had an excellent time since we were a large group of friends. However, here's the deal, I don't believe the price matches the quality of food or accommodation. The staff was really nice and friendly, but far from professional, though this might give a flavor of "homestyle" hotel. The rooms do not...

I came to Hukumeizi with expectations based on some of the positive reviews I found online and the fact that it is pricier than its neighbor B&B, where I had an awesome experience last summer. There was no availability at "El Matuy", so I decided to give Hukumeizi a try. The experience could be a positive one as the weather...

I felt compelled to write this review as there are definitely some things I would have preferred to have known before booking this accommodation. Location: It is not near to anything! The other hostels/bars are at least a 25 minute walk down the beach, which is pitch black at night time. For two females this did not seem ideal. It's...

Pro: Nice rooms Con: Staff attitude-passive/aggressive Often no water in rooms No privacy (no locks and no 'do not enter signs') No choice in meals Poor quality, expensive food (try Dreamer hostel in town) Long way out of town requiring hair-raising moto taxi) Nightmare checkout-bill on a piece of paper

Let's start with food. Everybody has to eat, am I right. Clearly the chef is limited, a strange lasagna with random vegetables and as much taste as dusty brick. And massively overpriced too, I'm just getting started. I arrived with a friend, after the Lost City, who'd booked the accommodation with her mother; two rooms, basic and an additional day...

We visited Palomino with friends during Santa Semana (Easter week). We made the mistake of not pre-booking our hotels, and found virtually everything was booked up. We arrived at Huzukeimi because our friends had stayed there the year before for a night and liked the beach. It too was full, but the manager (owner?) told us that for 1/3 the...

The place is fantantic and right on the beach in the quiet end with a wonderfulI and clean swimming pool viewing the beach. You could not think of more nice surroundings. Most of the staff including the owner is extremely helpfull with all kinds of stuff. But most are very poor in english which now and then was a challenge....

I was traveling in a group of about 20+ people and did not know a thing about Hotel Hukumeizi when we checked in. I immediately loved the open airy rooms and uncluttered simplicity of the design. They were clean, had mosquito nets, and I got a kick out of the shower, which was a simple pipe from the wall that...

I stayed at Hukumeizi in Jan 2014, and I have to say it was the best vacation I had in my life. A picture-perfect sand beach with palms and rolling waves, tranquil and calm, plenty of time to read books I ever wanted to read, and no sellers of whatever that you find everywhere else in Colombia or maybe the...
