The location is great (right on the beach) but other than that it's lacking in amenities, atmosphere and staff attitude. Didn't understand why I had to purchase drink coupons from the front desk every time I wanted to buy a beer.

We spent three days and nights in Finca Esconidad, and have to say we were a bit underwhelmed with the comfort and services of this nicely located place. Might have been a bad moment, but not offering internet for three full days (and at the same time insisting on prepayment of stay when booking), charging full service 10% without asking...

If you stay in palomino, stay at Finca Escondida! It is such an amazing spot directly on the beach. The food was tasty and the hammacks/dorms/rooms were very comfortable - not cheap but reasonably priced! Stay away from the sweet baby kitten if you don't like flees!

This place is overrated. It is dirty and badly managed. I didn't like Palomino at all.The sea is unfriendly, there are many weird people going around. It feels like a mess and on the way to an irreversible bad way of dammage. Besides, you can see local who don't belong here anymore.

This sizeable hostel/resort is located right on the beach and a bed in a dorm room comes at an affordable price. Literally none of the staff spoke English which I found slightly bizarre, given the fact that a sizeable number of their guests didn't speak Spanish. Service was rather slow plus the place lacked the traveller spirit that turns an...

The place is amazing. The restaurant is very good and the prices are according to the food and taste. The hostel looks fantastic with grass, coconuts and a quiet and relaxing environment. I recommend this place totally for everyone.

Ok we went to this place and asked what the longustina was. Was told its lobster, prawns came out followed by the bill plus tax for lobster! Asked the waiter a second time to make sure we were on the same page. He seemed embarrassed for the place that they had serviced us the wrong food. I think it was...

Although we didnt stay here overnight, the service and the genuine friendliness really made our day. The food was supurb. And although we had some problems with our creditcards to pay the bill at night, they came up with a great solution.

We've stayed a couple of nights at la finca and really enjoyed the experience. The staff is kind and the infrastructure (toilets, rooms) very clean. The spot is ideally located on the beach so you can take your breakfast in front of the sea. The surf option is quite nice as well and we had fun trying to stand on...

For the price we were excited to have a nice clean private room at an affordable price, it was to be a nice break from dorms as we are on a long backpacking trip. We weren't disappointed. Beautiful grounds, clean room, nice bathroom. All is well... until the ants turned up. Our room was covered. In the bed, our bags,...

Finca Escondida is the ideal spot for beach lovers, surfers, and sports enthusiasts. It is directly on the 6km long sandy beach of Palomino - still one of the best kept secrets among travelers on Columbia's sunny Caribbean coastline. We have suites, rooms, dorms, hammocks, and a lovely space for camping. Additionally, we offer a great variety of food and cocktails at our restaurant - including savory crepes, refreshing salads, and delicious seafood. There are good waves for surfers and those still planning to learn. Chillandsurf's team offers surf lessons and surfboard rental at a reasonable price. And be sure to enjoy an afternoon on the beach playing frisbee or beach volleyball. If you are looking to slow down, shady, idyllic spots on the Finca grounds call for chilling, reading, or simply hanging out and letting the day pass by. Just lay back and relax between the palm trees, mango, orange, and lime groves on Finca Escondida and be lulled by the sounds of the sea. ... more   less
