1) prior to finalizing our booking I had to make several calls(4) to the facility for our room block, Mgr only available to assist between 7-3. I call again in designated time, manager worked overnight shift just left facility no one else can assist. I call again in designated time frame, manager just left for MD appointment..by the way reception staff disclosed her personal health issue NOT appropriate. In frustration to book the room I call the 1800 number, they are able to book me A room but it is a queen double not the king room I needed. Next day I call the hotel again, the receptionist says she can change the room assignment and she would make sure it is in the MPKS block, finally I think the matter is resolved! At check out I was not charged the block rate. The receptionist said this happened to 3 others in our room block and they could not adjust the rate since again only the manager could do that and she was off. They told me to call the manager tomorrow to get the adjustment. In my frustration I said no this is your error, have the manager call me. I was told by the receptionist that it was unlikely she would call me. At this point I said where is your customer service? She replied I do not need to be disrespected, I am 35 years old and provide customer service. At some point she must have discussed this with “kitchen person” that just happened to be the daughter of the manager because she called our room and asked me to come back down to resolve the issue. The “kitchen person” With her mother the manager on the phone still insisted the problem was with the original reservation not the one they adjusted for the king room. It took more than 30 minutes they could not adjust the bill. Now others are waiting to check out and we have a reservation in 20 minutes, so I asked them to help the other customers and have the manager call me tomorrow (which I am not certain she will do,) hence my outreach to corporate. 2) Hotel rooms have bright lights from parking lot shining on the hotel not the parking lot and we had a room facing the parking lot. The room has a sheer curtain with hanging drape only on the side that could not close. We wound up using one of the room’s clip hangers to attempt to close the side hanging drape to block out the parking lot light. 3) upon arriving to our room at check in I noted dried blood and hair in bathroom sink. front desk was notified she came with a spray bottle used one of the wash cloths provided to our room to wipe out the sink(not replaced.) When she was in the bathroom we both noticed water spots on the mirror which she also cleaned After she left I noticed soap splatter on the shower doors. Was this bathroom really cleaned between guests? I am sorry to say we were very disappointed in cleanliness and customer service, this was not the first we were at this facility but likely the last since their are at least 2 other options less than 1 block away from this location. The owner Mr. Patel should be made aware of what is happening in his hotel. I would appreciate a response from your corporate leadership addressing my concerns

We stayed in a standard queen bed room. Location was safe unless you worry about a plane crashing. We could hear a couple of jet engines but not that loud. This is not a busy airport. The room was perfect for 2 just staying overnight. Shower only but it had a non slip floor and grab bar . The bed and towels were good quality. The TV was a 46 in I think and actually seemed too big for the room , unusual ! Fitness room well equipped and had dumbbells and bench. We had a breakfast meeting elsewhere, but I did check out the offerings. They were somewhat disappointing. Probably for a budget motel about average , but below average for what I consider a mid range location. Without a food service license it is hard to make available good eggs. So if you want a real breakfast go to a restaurant. There are none around though. Unless you are at a luxury $ 200 a night place don't expect much of a breakfast. As a hotel is is very good and would stay again.

Whiile my many readers rely on me for guidance, this short diatribe will be my most exclusive. When you are tired and need a safe place to sleep that lacks many amenities, yet has a clean bed, then this property is A-One-Plus. People can make or break any experience. While I am not in Paris, London, or even Tampa Bay, I am housed with love by people of quality and hearts larger than any known mammal.

Recently spent a nite at this very new and clean property. Only minutes from CID/Cedar Rapids Airport. Encountered an airline flight cancellation at 5:30 am at the Airport. Very courteous and friendly airport Shuttle Driver, Lamaria, saved the day in assisting us with our return to the property. We were looking at an 8 hour delay and really appreciated the welcoming staff and breakfast service. Comfy Bed. Direct TV. QUIET closing room doors. Stay here worry free. Thanks Comfort Inn! Next time we come your way, or any way there’s a Choice/Comfort Inn, we’re in!

Upon arrival, hair in the sink and shampoo bottles in the shower like it wasn’t cleaned. Hallways, lobby, and rest of room were clean. Breakfast was good. Front desk said housekeeping is only coming every other day, but we were there 3 nights and days and they never cleaned our room. Pool was one of the worst I’ve ever seen as far as the water was chalky white/green in the pool—not clear...the hot tub you could see hair and dead skin floating in it. Gross. Unfortunately due to this, would not recommend.
