I am very disappointed with our stay. We have stayed here lots of times over the years. Just keeps going down hill. Dishes in the dishwasher are dirty, TV remote does not work, lots of cob webs, tub will not drain, fireplace is dirty, lights...More
I have stayed at the Sterling several times when in town. It is affordable, clean and has great service. The location is also ideal for anyone that is working downtown or in the suburbs. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area.

Stopped through Des Moines for a couple nights. This place was clean, affordable and the staff was great. Tons of room and it was nice to have a fridge to put a few things in. I would stay here again for sure.

Hi, Carrie- Please feel free to contact me at the hotel and I'd would be happy to check on the damaged linen fees. We would only charge a guest for damaged linens or bedding if we were unsuccessful in attempting to remove any stains or linens were torn or stolen. If we have made an error in billing, I want to make sure to remedy the incorrect charges. Thank you!
