Not what we expected. The place was very run down and there was a note at the front door stating it was for sale. We actually thought of leaving the minute we pulled up to the place The inside looked nothing like the pictures on the internet and our room was dark and drabby. Wallpaper taped up on the walls and wires exposed Fans were blowing in each floor circulating the air. We did stay the night but left as soon as we awoke never staying for the breakfast that was offered We won't be staying here again and no recommendations

Beautiful old building, in need of repairs. The exterior front steps are falling apart. There appears to be some water damage on the ceiling in our room that was covered up with a panel. Some areas of the wallpaper had duck tape on it. The toilet handle in our room is about to fall off. On the positive side, are room was clean and they served us a very nice breakfast.

the place looked mostly as it did in the pictures, but windows were sealed shut, blinds taped. dust everywhere. we never saw anyone there service wise, so if we needed anything, we couldn’t get help. walls are also super thin. you can hear everything. checkout says 11 am on their website, but at 10:30 someone unlocked our door and tried to come in. the bed was pretty comfy though. wouldn’t stay again.

The hotel looked good on the reviews, but was not as advertised. The information reported that there was parking on the street, but failed to say that it was metered parking. The other parking was in a lot across the street that was also metered. There was caution tape on the entrance of the building. No one was there to great us, but we found a woman who showed us to the room that was reserved for us. The room had packing tape holding some of the wall paper on. Immediately after seeing the room and the general disrepair on the building my wife said she didn't feel safe staying there. I spoke to a male who was unloading supplies who said that because we had reserved the room with Booking.com he wouldn't refund or credit my credit card. We had planned to stay two nights, but had to make arrangements elsewhere.

This mansion is architecturally beautiful. We had a well appointed suite in the turret. It had a separate tub and shower. There was a refrigerator and air conditioning. Breakfast was included and was quite tasty. If we could get the same room I would stay there again. Be forewarned that if you need help with luggage, request it. A three story hike was our challenge. The place remodeled in 1985. It could use a big hug in some areas. It is currently for sale.
