The check in was quick, the lady at the front desk who checked me in was friendly, and the room was super nice and clean. I was upgraded at no extra fee to a two room handicap accessible suite. The room was beautiful and the ceilings were about 12 foot ceilings making the room feel so roomy and comfortable!

Tonight as part of a two month road trip we stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in Dubuque, Iowa. As is the case with virtually every other Hilton property the stay was absolutely great. The nice gentleman at the front desk upgraded us as Diamond Members to a gorgeous suite aka room 232. The room is huge and has some nice views of trees. The Internet was a bit weak on and off, but still worked plenty good enough. Due to Covid the usual great HGI breakfast was not able to happen, but the grab and go boxes were very nice. In fact I traded my wife my eggs for her yogurt so basically I ended up eating what I would have eaten at the regular HGI breakfast. Trading food reminded me of trading C-rations in the Army overseas in the late 60s. Ahhhh the memories! Anyway a real 5 star stay which I highly recommend! Conrad Hilton would be proud!…

Staff is great. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Located / attached to the Q Casino. The prices of the breakfast at the hotel at very expensive. Car is needed to explore the area. Would recommend this hotel

Room was clean and nicely decorated especially for a casino hotel. Walls were very thin and could hear the the room next door conversation at 4:30 am ! They were not yelling just having a normal conversation. Woke me up and did not sleep well.

Upon arrival, our room was room 117 when had an unpleasant odor in it. We asked to switch rooms and the new room was better. We then had a peculiar problem. My Hilton digital key had us sharing our current room, room 117, and another room on the second floor. We were reassured that no one could open our current room. However, my digital key on the app still opened 117 which we thought was very strange. And unsafe. Sam J, the front desk agent was unfriendly about this matter and unpleasant to deal with throughout our stay. In fact when we checked out she asked how our stay was and I told her not so good. Sam J made NO response to inquire about our issues. The continental breakfast was disappointing too. The cloth napkins on the tables had white lint on them as if they were washed with towels. Lots of high carb bread choices; limited healthy options. The entrance to the properly was where smokers congregated. Strong smoke odor as you arrive. Bottom line: we will not stay at this Hilton Garden Inn again. In fact, I canceled a reservation there for next month. And no acknowledgement for being a Diamond VIP. Staff could use some customer service training--at least fake a smile or two Sam J!…

Only stayed here because we wanted to play at the casino (which we ended up not really being impressed with). Staff was friendly and room was clean. I felt this hotel was pricey. We booked the nonrefundable rate just to save some money on the rate. Breakfast is not included, which at the price we paid should have been. The were charging $11 for a simple continental breakfast. Disappointed that no restaurants were open on a Tuesday except for the casino sports bar. We would not stay here again based on the rate.

Stay here quite often. My one and only complaint is the smell of cigarette smoke in the lobby. There is a connecting hallway to the casino...doors are open and the air drifts into the hotel. Smells like a casino in the hotel. Fix that and I've no complaints.

Stayed here for a weekend in April to attend a couple of Fighting Saints games. Stayed in a 1 King Bed 1 Bedroom Whirlpool Suite, using points as the prices were a bit high. The location was great if you were interested in the casino, the greyhound park, or hockey. Having Houlihan's attached was convenient after a Friday night hockey game. Plenty of free parking. The room and hotel were clean. Even though masks were required, the policy wasn't enforced, and most customers ignored the rule.

Hotel is nice staff is pleasant, rooms are nice too. Prices are high. It is close to downtown minutes away. Breakfast is nice too wish the menu had a few more options but it’s doable and good. Pool is great has nice workout room too. Easy parking as well.
